I am also suffering the same problem and its happening on a frequent basis.Seriously thinking to change the service provider.
But before that friends one request why donot we write emails to SEBI ( I know there is no use - lot will say , but atleast it will notify the concerned).
I have already done that :

email addresses are :

SEBI [email protected]

ICICI [email protected] ,[email protected]

The decision is entirely yours , but I think before changing we can do this atleast.

Sir ,

Please see the trailing mails I have been a regular user of ICICIDIRECT but of late their service standard has gone below acceptable levels.
Further to add to the frustration they donot respond to customer complaints and always take shelter of technical issues.
If this is the case the service provider should pay penalty for the time their systems are not working as they charge for services not for the absence of them
Lot of such customer are there , I also smell some fraud as the systems get mostly down during peak cycles.
Please initiate some investigation against ICICI direct.

To get good mileage you should send a copy to the TV/Media--I know there may not be immediate response....but whenever they do not have "juicy" news they may try to whip this up

Hi
I have ICICIDIRECT & HDFCSEC I have two of them because at times if one of them is down I can always switch to other which is working, chances of both of them down are very remote. So I can do trading without any hindrance.

Dear Friends , I wish to bring to your notice an interesting fact . on different occasions in the past i learnt that the STAFF members of " ICICI Direct " & Sharekhan have their personal Demat accounts in other brokerages like India Infoline , indiabulls , etc.

We all know & have been talking about the services of ICICI Direct.
Conc. Sharekhan : Their services are no doubt better than ICICI but their online systems are incapable of handling loads , and therefore crash if the trading volumes are large at any particular point of time . I experienced this myself. When the markets crashed i tried to exit some stocks through Sharekhan, but their systems were simply down, resulting in losses .

One particular sharekhan staff member who had concern for my losses in Sharekhan due to System crashes, told me discreetly that their systems were incapable of handling heavy loads. He revealed that he had his personal demat account in other brokerages ..... like india bulls & India infoline & advised me to do the same .

When staff member dont avail services of the brokerages where they work in , ( where they cud avail the best possible rates ) then how can we expect such brokerages to provide us good services.

Guys , kindly verify things at your end.

Dear Hemant,
Thanks for you initiative. Guys whoever faced losses or distress during their membership with ICICIDirect should send email and also to the media. We deserve good service for their HIGHEST brokerage amount they charge in the industry. They should not get away with the system cheating poor investors.

Please provide media email addres, any one who can come up with, May be all of us can send email in the same format with the same content, so that they can publish in the media. Media is very powerful in this scenario, since these big fishes might cheat the rule of law.

Guys, Please provide your opinions in this regard,

regards,
sam

For all those facing problems with icici, u can try reliance money.. It may not be the fastest interface but what i can assure you is, I can provide you a personalized dealer, who could buy and sell for you when , you are not able to place a trade.. . Also the brokerage would be 10 times lesser atleast compared to icici.
