I am also suffering the same problem and its happening on a frequent basis.Seriously thinking to change the service provider.
But before that friends one request why donot we write emails to SEBI ( I know there is no use - lot will say , but atleast it will notify the concerned).
I have already done that :

Please see the trailing mails I have been a regular user of ICICIDIRECT but of late their service standard has gone below acceptable levels.
Further to add to the frustration they donot respond to customer complaints and always take shelter of technical issues.
If this is the case the service provider should pay penalty for the time their systems are not working as they charge for services not for the absence of them
Lot of such customer are there , I also smell some fraud as the systems get mostly down during peak cycles.
Please initiate some investigation against ICICI direct.
