Then refill 4ltr and again empty into 5ltr bucket ..
so 5 ltr bucket full and 4 litre bucket has 3 ltrs full.

Empty 5 ltr and then empty the 3ltrs into the 5 ltr bucket.
Again fill 4ltrs and refill the 5ltr bucket .. so balance inthe 4 ltr bucket will remain 2 ltrs.

Question:

raju and ravi live in a rural area. They do not have running water at home and have to fetch water from the river 2 kilometers away. Their neighbor, raghu, has a donkey cart and fetches water in two 20 liter drums, which he shares with them.

Today both raju and ravi need 2 liters of water for a school experiment. raju has a 5 liter bucket, and ravi a 4 liter tin. How will raghu give them each exactly 2 liters of water if they do not have any other containers?
