highlighting the title of this post.......
the sensex is currently having an EPS of around rs 800....now for it 2 go 2 7500 levels , the sensex has 2 trade @ PE of less than 10....:D
since 1990 , the sensex has NEVER commanded a PE of this kind, putting it in the penny stock bag.....:D
Just because it has not happened in history doesn't mean it will not happen in the future. Before may 04, there has not been one instance where the the Nifty has fallen by more than 25% in a 25 trading day span on closing basis (The worst fall in % was 22%) . Then came may 04, and may 06 and the rest is history.

Indeed. Consider a put seller who gains .1% by selling a put 20% away from current price, going by the assumption that it has never happened in history, so it will never happen again, thus staying with the majority. In the last 48 months, he would have profited in 45 months, gaining 4.8% and the 3 times he has lost, it would have cost him 5% a turn, and in the end, would have ended up losing 10.2%. The black swan has killed him

again agreed , but option WRITERS r the winners IN THE END.....
its like a hitech casino , where the owner NEVER plays , he only makes players play cause @ the end he knows that this guy will break soon..
& what happens if the owner himself tries 2 make a quick buck is history...

Though i usually don't like to comment.

I will not see a close below 11999 in my lifetime.Assuming that i live at least 20 yrs more.
My initial target time of 1 year will be apr 04,2008 for sensex to be at 7500. does not look it's going to happen in the given time frame. but i am very confident amit29 will get his wish fullfilled .
