Feb was also a decent month for the strategies.

Thanks,

Your draw down is very impressive, considering the number of scrips and trades you do in a month
:thumb:

I have a question,In case a trade hits SL ,do you re enter trade in the same direction or is it just 1 trade per scrip per day, kind of a thing.

Will you share the strategy if I intend to implement the very same system you have invented
If you have not made it, you cant make money with it. Systems need constant tweaking and monitoring.
A fully developed system takes around 6-8 months of brainstorming and testing. It is not as easy as plug n play.
No one would share there work of sleepless nights for nothing. I bet.
It is rightly said there are no free lunches in the market.

However I am not here to show results and bargain for money.
All I ask for is ideas for mutual benefit. So, people who work on systems and are in the same boat as i am can think of sharing their backtested results of live systems or research work.
I say so because, your strategies as well as mine have a life span and will stop working after that. It is in our best interest to have as many weapons in our arsenal as we can.

P.S If you cant relate yourself to this post, just ignore it. Concerned people will understand what i am talking about.

Thanks,
MT

you are very right at that....but I disagree that a given system can stop working after some time....this is because the basic funda is simple which is buy low, sell high or sell with a predetermined known loss......as u said its a question of how to cleverly manage and design a trading system around this above funda.....

A System dies after a given time. If you look up history of the rsi indicator, u will find that in its earlier years RSI was a trending indicator.. Systems were made buying when RSI>70. But over the past few years it has completely reversed and RSI is now considered a reversion to mean indicator.

I am not arguing over this fact but it is the truth that systems unless updated will stop working after a given time as markets as ever evolving. The edge starts to diminish. The short term systems are more susceptible to this.

Hi Mech,

Hope you are doing fine. After going live with my positional nifty trading system for past one month, following are the issues am facing. Kindly let me know your inputs to handle these scenarios.

System is SAR based, (Stop and Reverse). So there are no profit targets and fixed stop loss. I trade on 15 mins TF.

Sometimes when am on long position and the following day if gap up occurs in Nifty with 80 to 100 points, I wanted to book profits and wait for my next trade signal or wait for re entry levels. However, I feel if I bring in my discretionary decisions into system it may affect the over all performance. So I just follow the system blindly without any manual intervention. Due to this many times, a profitable MTM in the morning will be changed to negative by EOD.

How do we handle such scenarios?
