Huh!!I have to write all over again.

100-23.6=76.4,-100-38.2=61.8,-100-50=50,-100-61.8=32.8,-100-74.6=23.6,-100-100=0.
Thats how I have matched both trend range and retracements. Its only for simplicity.Let the vehicle start moving .Let new comers first understand what we are doing. Then we shall adjust everything as per the circumstances.
Raghav,

You may sigh again and say "Huh!" but, is there not a confusion between 76.40 and 74.60? The same thing in the post where you have posted the chart of trend/retracement. The figure in the chart was different.

Anyway, 76.40 seems to be correct, so I have taken the same percentage figure for calculation of Fib levels.

Murthy,

I am sorry to say that your tone is little bit unpleasant.I do handle various tasks and I am not blessed with a full time blogger status ,when I type figures again and again there will naturally be typo's.All this I do is for the one who want to learn trading and who had some tough times in the market previously.

I will re edit all of my posts by this night any way by going through them once again.

We all need to learn one thing " A kettle kept upside down cannot be filled with water".

Dear Raghav,

I am really sorry, if my attempt at humour was misunderstood by you.

Have you not noticed that we are all learning from you and we are keenly following your posts? Have I not posted the Fib levels immediately after your call? (I didn't want to post them myself, as I know how they are calculated. I wanted somebody else to post them. But in order to give you the further lead, I have posted them myself).

Maybe you were in a bad mood. Anyway, there is always a tomorrow and fresh morning!

Hi Friends,

I had an interesting discussion with one of my Friend. It was about loading trading terminals on netbook.

Since I have not used netbooks ,I was not sure from my end about its performance. Most of netbooks now a days come with 1.66GHZ and 1GB DDR-2/3 and 250-320GB Hard disk.

Its not the above which is a constraint for loading terminals. The point of discussion is the processor which these netbooks carry. All netbooks comes with Atom N450 or now max N750.Atom as we know is inferior to Dual core and for most of the trading terminals, minimum requirement itself is a dual core.

In addition to above heating up of the machine can be another issue here as these machines are not meant for high performance.Lets assume that we use some good cooling hubs like Belkins to eliminate this issue.

My friend wants to load three terminals and not one or two!!.Tradetiger,Zerodha provided terminal and odien diet.

Even I googled around for some reviews ,all they say is we can run but no practical comments.

What I suggested my friend is that instead of getting a netbook for 15k ,he can go for a full fledged ! laptop like Lenovo B460 which are meant for business and tough performance.he has to shell out just 6-7 thousand extra for the models like Lenovo B460.Even upgraded versions of Toshiba Satellite models come for 20-21K with 15.6" screen size.

Now a days hardly we hear about machines with core 2 Duo and i3,i5's are anyway beyond his budgets.

Hence I thought of sharing it so that if any one has used Netbooks for trading can share their experience. All comments are welcome.

The attached file contains the Monthly as well as the Weekly

*Pivot Levels, and

*Fib Levels

for about 500 stocks of S&P CNX500 scrips - (scrips which are not from EQ series were excluded)

The file is prepared for the benefit of the members trading in stocks other than NIFTY, like myself!

The duplicate values ("duplicate" is an Excel term - they are not just duplicated values - they are the figures which have some significance, because they are repeated) were already highlighted in separate colour through a macro. As such, you need not worry about the conditional formatting also.

Hope this will be useful to some of you.

Hi Raghavcc,

I am using Dell Netbook , with Atom Processor. My setup is like this I do trading through desktop and use the netbook for running Amibroker. I am using xfeeds for Realtime data . I run the Netbook from 9:30 to 3:30 straight without break. I have kept a cooling fan below the Netbook, So far I haven't found any problems. The benefit of using Netbook over Notebooks is that Netbook is very slim and light to carry around.

It is a good idea to share between us how we do trading, so that we can improve our trading and others.

Regards:)
