BTW for the benefit of TB, my chart should have looked like this one. I forgot the TL:

The maximum is anything less under the 1. In other words 99.9% is okay.
Yes, break of the 2 is the entry, and <> 2 points over the 3 is the SL.
All you need to do after the 1-2-3 is formed is set the sell stop, and just let the trade be hit. If the 1 is broken, then remove the sell stop.

BTW, 2 points on the other side of the 1 is a nice buy stop with the 2 being the SL. That is simply within the realm of price action and the recent swing high being broken. Such cases of the swings being broken are visible all the time, every chart, any TF.

That's real quick sir...thanks..

Now one thing...you said that retracement should be least 78.6...what can be maximum...and how to initiate a trade??? on the break of 2?? And also SL for the same??

So end of trend means there should be a sustained trend or a good upside or downside before it appears??

Timepass, my chart shows clearly your 1 was broken. That is where my 2nd short position (Demo, in the case of this market.) kicked in at on the sell stop.

Boss, this thing looks like a bullish double bottom to me, although a whole candle has closed below 21EMA. Maybe a bullish 1-2-3 is in making.

Yes, I see that. Maybe the difference is due to difference in data. This "double bottom" is sort of "keep in mind" or OTOH scenario, just in case the index climbs above and stays above 21EMA.

The actual data is : Bottom 1 on 27 Feb (5268) and Bottom 2 on 5 March (5265) - the difference being negligible to show on the charts.

On the hourly it is making a triangle, let's see which way it breaks :)

We will know this week, won't we :)

G'night.

found some small docs on the web, not live examples but may be useful.

Chapter_A_Technic_1-2-3-4.ppt - 475 KB The charts in this are quite understandable but the accompanying text is not in English but still worth looking at. The text in Thai can be translated using google translate one line (or less) at a time, if you have the patience.

Any rate. Mark Crisp has always impressed me as someone who knows what he is talking about; yet, I'm skeptical of him.
This is one of his direct quotes, "Simply plug in my parameters and follow my trading rules and you could make 500%+ per annum in the stock market."
When someone makes that comment, then the automatic assumption should be he is making it. After all, he should be leading by example.
That being the case, and knowing he's been on the internet since 1999 and in business longer than that, he should have made $13,060,694,016,000 (That's 13 trillion.) off of $1,000 during that time.

I know the numbers are too outrageous to fathom. The bottom line is why he is selling a system, books, etc, when he has already made so much money.

Nevertheless, I would listen with full attention to all the free stuff he has and ignore his sales pitch. No one needs to pay money to learn to trade.

JMO, here.

They would have still been winning trades. They were just not the powerful moves that otherwise you would hope for.
Notice the location of them. Both were at the end of trends, not the beginning. Neither retraced 78.6% which also makes for a weaker signal.

Found these examples of 1-2-3 traps (ignore the text not in english).

One alternative to this problem of xxx coming up is to use: Firefox; Firefox addons: NoScript, AdBlockPlus, RequestPolicy, Ghostery.
Maybe there are better solutions but these have worked quite well for me. I never get to see anything unwanted.

:p Since I am unable to see those whorish women can you please post a screen shot those images for me :D.
