...I said on last friday that nifty may go up to close 4950 or come down to retst 4795 . I did a simple calculation : 15th may it closed near 4950 and after that 2 gap down and friday itself it closed 1/2 way covering the gap .So I was waiting to understand whether it can go past the 4950 and hold it. It did not and I went short today morning around 4935NS with a SL at cost. I coverd my posotion at 4855 NS and holding 4800PE at 45 (just 1 lot for overnight).


Mano ji did I do right or it is just luck??

If premium is 230 and below, market will be oneside.

...Yes option writing entitles u to a little less profit as against futures but then they put u along with the decay king as i explained earlier. And also they r the only intrument in the world which entitles u to gain money even when wrong.

One biggest secret of gaining by writing options is REWRITING of options and dont keep junk with u. So if 100Rs wrtoe option gets to 30Rs rewrite it down.

And anyone wanting to clear ny doubts regarding option WRITING can post them and i will clear them as much as i can

No Little-vittle. Overall it is more profitable if you take into account your health and the time spent in the market. Because a good option writer doesn't aim to square off his trades. He aims no less than to pocket total premium on expiry. Once it's in ATM zone, no amount of its updown huffing puffing would make any difference to your blood pressure as long as it is not ITM. Try saying the same about futures - any futures, even if they are in +ve MTM. Saali 2 minute mein neend haraam ho jaayegi!

Just take it this way, Option Writing is a laid down version of trading futures(Little less profit as compared to futures but much less loss too). Dont forget DECAY KING is with u when WRITING options.
Secondly: Option Buying is an Oomphed up version of futures, More Profit and Much more losses.

So Option writer is not a very much so called speciallist, just a laid down version of a normal futures trader but with lesser risk profile but with advantage of DECAY on his side.

SO WRITE IT DOWN IN UR MIND :, writing options carries lesser risks as opposed to futures trading . And Dont add specialist vesialist tags to it .

Rajasree, what's so special about upmove, bro? Would Upmove mean profit in dollars along with a chance to kiss Sushmita Sen? (with TP's permission of course!)
If we move up to 5064 or even 5170, it won't make any difference to the overall picture of downtrend. So relax. Go with flow. Think of doing trading accordingly, not in contra direction. Last time I checked with Rashtrpati Bhawan, they don't give any 'Paramvir Chakr' for sacrificing money in the stock market.

God, I wish some 'EagleOne' should have been there to slap me when I was living in hopes of reversal last year! But I got soothsayers, instead. Sab theek ho jaayega, hold on! :lol:

Understand this. If you hold on to ATM, OTM options like this, one day you won't be left with any option to trade, samjhe, bhiddu?! Bura lage toh meri bala se.

Of course, decay is a done deal for option writers. But the most 'mazzedaar cheez' happens with the buyer in the first 15 minutes on monday morning and last 15 min on friday evening. Both their CEs PEs get gangraped one after another.
