Do u expect a gap down tomorrow ?
Its unpredictable...
We may go either way... gap up or gap down...
We may take global cues then a Gap Down.
We may think we have already factored the bad news then a slight gapup or flat open.
What you think?
I have a long position from today.

I hate this word "factored in". Are bankruptcy/bail-out of AIG, WaMu, Wachovia, Wells Fargo, UBS, Barkley, blah, blah, blah.... also factored in? Problem is, we don't look at mirror before trading.

Dow recovers smartly... now its well above 11000 and is staying at 11100.
Almost 100+ points up from the low.

CNBC.com

Stocks fell sharply Monday after a trifecta of Wall Street pain: Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy, Merrill Lynch was bought by Bank of America and AIG asked the Fed for short-term financing.

The selling had been in check for most of the day, keeping the Dow Jones Industrial Average's decline around 250-300 points for most of the day. But the fear started to escalate after comments from Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, which turned into panic as the clock struck 3 (ET), pushing the Dow to a nearly 400-point decline.

"We're working through a difficult period in our financial markets right now as we work of some of the past excesses, but the American people can remain confident in the soundness and resilience of our financial system," Paulson said. He added that a bailout of Lehman never crossed his mind but didn't completely rule out government bailouts going forward.

I cannot predict. I only see that the price is above a uptrend line. I also see the uptrend line cuts at 4147 - 4153 level tomorrow at the DT line. I find that is the ideal short position to start with minimum stop loss. If b4 reach that level, price cuts the UT line, short may be start. As the price is under major DT line, I cannot take long position as per rule. I have covered my short position today at 4026 and waiting for another opportunity.

So whatever may be the global cue, I shall do with the chart and trend guideline.

Regards.

The situation is not the same, Now we all know these bad news are on the way... so less impact...
charts factor in everything,so one trade likewise but . everything cant be factored in at all ...there ant any buyers of efficient market theory, what they believe in is sentiments, and sentiments ant good, be it s & p, or crude which falling like a shameless kid to 95$:D naughty child, also scared of economic health.
But by fundamental view its different ball game together.Even warren buffet wd fly here n buy few stocks if our market plunges .. lol .. just kidding.

Bad news for IT

Sept. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Satyam Computer Services Ltd., India's fourth-largest software services provider, fell the most in five years after a report that the company may fire about 9 percent of its employees.
