new2sm,
due to last few weeks' big intraday swings, which lead to big gaps between our trading floor pivots, i had shifted to Camarilla Pivots... pretty good results.

But, as i said, depends on the previous day's High-Low range... if under 100-150 points, then our usual trading floor pivots are good..
but if the difference is big, then i found these camarilla ones quite effective...

observe & let me know your views after few days...

Sunil, what a coincidence, I was just looking at alternative pivot formulaes today morning...I did checkout camarilla, but for yest. fig, I did not get any satisfactory results and have instead found Classic and Woodie to be more reliable. Let see for +150 pts which ones are more effective. Will get back.

well for yesterday,
camarilla levels were:

Supp: 3122 / 3103 / 3084 / 3026
Res: 3160 / 3179 / 3198 / 3256

Level 3 figures are important, with Level 4 being "ultimate trend reversal" levels

At open, it met with resistance at R3 3198.... went down and met with support at S1 3122 (LOD of yesterday)
then after recovery, it met with heavy resistance at 3256 R4 level for quite some time
(HOD=3265)...

again, these pivot levels worked due to big range of monday (3276 - 3067)

yesterday's range (HOD-LOD) was 3265-3123... not big enough... that's why instead of camarilla, our trading floor pivots r working...

u mentioned Classical & Woodie pivots....
Woodie is new for me, so i'll do some R&D on it after EOD
what's classical - same as what we have been referring to, na?
