cannot say for sure (since i just started observing HH, HL formation theory with Asish sir's guidance), but i have noticed that when such UT formation is in place, then SPOT hardly goes down the previous close or atleast does not spend much time below that level...

Infact, the previous close has proved to be a good/safe entry point to go long for intraday trading... (Friday's SPOT close was 4092)

Hi,

Let me explain you why did not maintain my discipline in this current trade...

There are two ways in which I trade..
1)One see the chart and strictly follow the SL.
2)When I see a sharp rise or sharp fall I go against the trend..

When market fell couple of days back I went long at 3803 and gained abt 85 points in one trade.I cannot explain why I went long it was at that instant I felt...

2)Today there was a sharp rise not once but thrice..Now its difficult to touch the top and short.I have 2L for trading and usually trade with only one lot..But under the current circumstances,I use the 2nd and 3rd lot for averaging..Todays top was 4100+
I shorted at 4036 and 4067...I Would have used by third lot at 4150...But it was not required..

I am holding my 2 lot position short at 4051.5...for a Target of <4000 on Nifty...

Although this may sound absolute non sense but sometimes I tend to be abnormal :).Although Saint Sir may not like my way of trading!!!!

Regards
Lalith
see this is exactly why TA trading has no place for Gut, feelings, Dow, Europe... & why moving stops is very dangerous, hope you got out of your shorts.... even 1 bad trade could wipeout days of hard work & scalping, then you have to depend on luck , etc...

chill...

actually "auto refresh" is not that necessary... "auto refresh" adds to the burden of system resources; if the refresh time is less, then you wont be able to read / reply to long posts;

infact, have a good broadband connection with atleast 2 Mbps speed, and click the refresh button yourself...

most "trading posts" here are about certain levels where one can look to buy or sell.... so, you'll not miss trading/acting on them, as you must keep in mind what to expect/do at that particular level.
