RAJ OAT Mini version.

I have simplified the OAT Tool and created a Mini version.

Please find below the screen shot of the tool.

If the Max Pain is 8700 for March expiry, ideally during expiry it should expire around Max Pain right ?

Raj Bhai,
In Old tool the Max Chg in OI is showing:
CE 8700 42 771,875
PE 8600 63.5 377,475

In new tool the Max Chg in OI is showing:
CE 8700 42 771,875
PE 8500 31.65 (447,775)

- Have you changed any logic for the calculation?
- What I understand is your motto for creation of new tool is to highlight the huge -ve figures in Chg in OI. Can't this be integrated in the old tool itself.
- In the old tool's option chain table, instead of showing strikes at 200 pt interval 100pt interval would have highlighted the -ve figures.

Just a piece of suggestion and really appreciate your hard work

Hi Raj,

Thanks a ton for the new tool. However I need to insert "PtrSafe" in the modules while defining functions otherwise it keeps on giving the following error:

This is because excel 2010 requires this (I think). Can you suggest some other solution.

Think you have hit the nail right in the head with the word IDEALLY. In Feb series, on expiry day at 9:30 MP was 8800, at around 12 it was at 8700, at around 2 MP was 8750 and finally the expiry was below 8700 (as far as I remember). Raj has mentioned somewhere in the thread, not to over rely on the tool /MP during expiry week.

Raj has mentioned somewhere in the thread, not to over rely on the tool /MP during expiry week.

You are right. MP keeps changing. Can be used as a guide to know know where the markets may move but trading solely on this is suicide. Specially when you still have a few days to go for expiry.

I feel we would move up tomorrow onwards as good profit-booking happened today. But no shorts in the system, so can be gap-up tomorrow and reach 8700 by tomorrow or coming week.

Expiry looks nearer to 8700 even then Oil crashing further is good for us!

Hi Raj, Hope you are doing good. Thanks for mini OAT. I found one issue in excel. I think you have protected OAT sheet which is blocking selection of expiry date. Please check.

Is this file working? When I open it and enable data connections, it says "initializing logfile" at the left bottom corner. When i refresh the data nthing changes. Last updated shows as 15:29 pm yesterday.

Any one can help?
