I shorted nifty at 5477 day before yesterday. Carrying the position with a SL at 5419. 100+ profit points as of now.

I has added at 1:45 oclock (sell) another 2 Lots of PE 5400 at Rs. 88.70 and 2 lot of CE 5400 for Rs. 57.25.

So this jodi (2 lots) sell price is Rs. 145.95

Total I has now 8 lots sell of CE 5400 and 8 lots of sell PE 5400. The avarge sell price of the pair is now Rs. 145.49 (with out broker)

I not will add to this psoition more now. Will see to exit step - step way from 2;30 oclock if the pair is give me profit.

The sell price of my pair 8 Lots is Rs. 145.49

Now price is Rs. 146.8 (CE = 55.5 and PE = 91.3)


Position is losing, so I has to not exit step - step way but I now has to try to close with equal lots togahther and make less my loss or keep the psotion for close time of today. Now my target is 1) no loss no profit and 2) cover broker charge.

Yes True....thats why he is called Van tharp
Had read somewhere that he was very bad at trading bcoz he could not control his emotions and made bad judgments, so thought of helping others to control their emotions since he was psychology expert....
Made fame and name selling reports on their behaviour and psychological make-up when trading for HNI traders in USA....
Now does not trade but only invests.....since he made millions through his best selling book...

I am not crticizing him......just to say that trading is not for everyone
You can still make money outside trading or anything related on trading..

Also the same goes for Steve Nison ( father of candlestick discovery)...
made millions introducing them to Goras...(America)

Anyways my report suggest to quit trading if not profitable and continue else

I take this pair trade at 11 oclock becase I has to get the first huor direction settel down. Now I think that today the Nifty index will not go down below 5355 and will go most like up toward 5420 to 5440. If this is the range and Nifty index is upward bias then my pair trade will give me profit by 2 - 2.30 oclock time.

My nifty index low side leval is 5355. If the nifty index go below this leval so I will exit all my 8 lots of sell CE 5400 and 8 lots of sell PE 5400 which is sell at avarage price of Rs. 145.49. The now price of pair is Rs. 148.
