I tried it for the first time yesterday and I have a few questions.

1) Have you tested on vista? When I ran on vista, I had a few major concerns and I had to remove it.

2) Will it work if AB/FC is installed in a folder other than the default C:\....

3) Have you released it on as is where is basis or would like to support also?

4) If you want the SW to be taken further, I can offer the service for testing and offer my observations.

No, I haven't tried it Yet. Please mail me your concerns and i will try to clear it out.

Certainly, Yes. It doesn't matter where you have installed AB/FC, but you must configure database/folder as said above.

Thanks a lot but i do have friends who are using it for their own trading and am getting a lot of help from them to make this a better tool. Of course, you guys are going to let me know if you face any difficulties/errors, right?????

Thanks for the quick response.

1) My OS is VIsta home premium and the screen resolution at the time of installation was 800 X 600. While installing ChartsData, I was told that a minimum resolution of 1024 X 768 is required and offered to change the resolution. I consented and after some silence, the system was hanging. I had to reload the OS from backup and tried again and manually changed the resolution before re-installing the program.

If the DPI scaling is 120 DPI and NOT the default 96 DPI, the application window goes beyond the full screen and NO scroll bars are there to access the various buttons. I had to stop the process to come out.

2) Yahoo log-in is often very erratic. I had to make a few attempts before a successful log-in. Every time I start the program, it asks for yahoo log-in, even if I am already logged in.

3) ALL the radio buttons under the 'National' tab are inactive and cannot be selected. As such, the real fell of the running of the program can be felt.

It doesn't matter whereever you installed AB or have different database/folders at different places. ChartsData save all its AB data at C:\ChartsData\Amibroker folder and will automatically load this when you click Update button. Just go ahead in saving futures data for AB with other tools in different folder and it will not be disturbed by ChartsData
