Dear Members,

Few of you have problems with system errors. Let me list out the errors and give you the solutions for the same.

ChartsData has reference to below listed DLL and OCX files and if any of these files were corrupted or not registered or un registered then below errors seems to occur frequently. Follow below steps and make sure that all DLL's and OCX files are correctly registered.

MSFLXGRD.ocx
MSCOMCTL.OCX
mscomct2.ocx
CData.dll
msstdfmt.dll
XZip.dll

You can register files manually using the regsvr32.exe tool from windows. Go to Start -> Run -> type cmd and hit enter. A command prompt window will be opened. Then type

regsvr32.exe "(dll/oxc path and filename)"

eg. regsvr32.exe "D:\ChartsData\CData.dll"

and press enter to receive the following message stating that the file was successfully registered. Follow the same procedure to register above listed DLL and OCX files.


Errors:
1. Run time error (429). ActiveX component can't create object.
2. Runtime error R6025. -pure virtual function call.
3. System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770) The specified module could not be found

All these errors are due to corrupt or incorrect registration of above listed DLL/OCX files. Find a file named Click2Reg.bat located at ChartsData installation directory. Go to the installation path (say, C:\Program Files\ChartsData) and double click the file Click2Reg.bat to re-register necessary dll and ocx files automatically.

Do this twice or thrice if first attempt doesn't work out, then reboot your system and start ChartsData.

This is to re-register all the dll and ocx files that the application requires.

4. If your profile under YAH00 option was not loaded after starting ChartsData, follow below steps and check it again.
a. Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language settings
b. select "English (United States)" under Regional Options tab
c. select "English (United States)" under Advanced tab
d. Click Ok to save the settings and start ChartsData to see your profile loaded with data's.

Let me know if you face any other issues.

Dear Lognnathan,
To-day I downloaded and installed your modified version in my laptop aswell as in my pc. I can'nt understand why the same mistake is happening in my both the instruments? As per uour instruction in help topic I have configured it with FCharts. CD is working nicely and there is no time difference with the system time. But while I am feeding it to FCharts, the live data pupup is showing the time frequency in the top, but the bars are not updating.I have checked the log book of FCharts. The log book is reporting:-
"Skipping ABGSHIP 9/6/2009 3:54:00 PM - date is more than 30 days in the future"
Kindly help?

I have downloaded the latest ver and also registered the DLLs and OCSs. I still cannot get the data from yahoo. I do have Yahoo Subscription. I love to be part of your testing team. Here is the pic. Can you let me know if I am doing anything wrong.

Hello Mr Loganathan

The utility is working very well for me. No connectivity issues.
I am able to update my charts in realtime from ODIN to Amibroker.
However, the data for the time of few minutes when ODIN is not working due to logout or internet failure, that portion of data is not getting backfilled although the autobackfill button is ticked. How Can this missing data be filled ?

Please also let me know how i can do backfill of last days nifty fut data in 1 min format, as the data is not appearing although i have tried 2-3 times. Maybe it is going to .CSV as indicated in the help.
Please let me know how to avoid this and specifically how to activate the historical data in Amibroker as recommended by you

Thanks once again for this great realtime utility as Mr AKGandhi's utility which was also great is providing updated data in Amibroker after a gap of 1-2 minutes as the PIB chart had to be refreshed every minute and then wait for the converter utility to run.
