Dear Sumit Agarwal,

If you have already started ChartsData and clicked UPDATE button for Amibroker then the database will be automatically created.

Steps mentioned in the help file should be done before running chartsdata for the first time else the amibroker database will be created automatically - since this won't work for most I suggested to do it manually before starting chartsdata for the first time.

No problem with this error, just open the database workspace and do the configuration setting as mentioned in the help file.

I saw the help file,

it ask to go to File --> New --> Database

In Database Settings under General Tab, when I browse and select C:\ChartsData\AmiBroker , it says

I had installed ChartData to use it with Odin and Metastock, incidentaly for some reason I had to reinstall it and and while installing its now asking for a password, for your kind information its still a Demo version could Mr Loganathan or some one using it help me out so that I can analyse the software and then go in for a registered version. Thanks

Hi Loganathan,

This is related to the error 424 object required. Last time when i got this error as suggested by you i un-installed internet explorer8 and had default IE 7 on my vista laptop.
As mentioned chartsdata runs on IE6 and will not support other latest versions but it was working fine on the IE7 and for one of the user it is working on IE8. please let me know if we need to change some settings to run the latest versions as ie6 is not supported in vista and ie7 is the minimum requirement for vista.

i have tried registering dlls both manually and clicking on reg files as mentioned in help files to no help.

I am facing the same issues in both my laptops which has different versions of vista. i also checked for the latest windows updates on my systems but no updates where installed in last one week. i have also tried to restore my system to the date when charts data was working fine but am getting the same error in charts data.

please help to resolve this.

want 2 use through Excel as i need that excel for other purpose also.

Dear Ajay,

ChartsData works fine with IE 6 versions and can't gurantee on IE 7 & IE 8 as they have introduced new features & security scripts with tabbed windows. ChartsData was programmed on Win XP with IE 6 and hence it works fine in above said configuration.

Just repair/format OS, create new user with admin rights and try installing the software.

Dear Tejvish,

Why do you want to update Amibroker with Excel Update.xls when you have the direct update option? Just open Amibroker before opening ChartsData, select Amibroker option once the watchlist is loaded with data's and click UPDATE button to see realtime charts in Amibroker.

If you just need the realtime data for your own calculation, you can find the file minute-data.txt under c:\chartsdata\data folder.

I have downloaded the limited version for trial but getting 15 minutes delayed figures in Amiboker. Is it not possible to get RT data?
