Hi TechDump,

You have given an excellent gift to small traders like me. Though I am subscribing data from the market-data-provider but am not satisfied with their speed and service as the data is usually delayed by 30-60 secs. Your tool is wonderful but the only problem is with the volume charts. The volume instead of getting plotted for each individual candle, keeps on adding for successive candles and as such you get a ascending volume chart. It also makes it impossible to study the volume based indicators. Please let me know how this problem could be corrected.

Thanks a lot for ur great contribution to the forum. I m using ur utility without any prob.(of course free,It only happens in India).Without any over expectation, I draw ur attention towards loudly talked about OMNITRADER on Inernet, it reads data in metastock/Ascii format.If u say, I may upload Omnitrader Real Time Software setup for u.I wish more golden feather atop ur hat.

Thank You for very work. you are saving money for small trader.


I expect follwoing updation in your next version

1. auto-update interval selection for 1 min or 5 min like for metastock

2. Yahoo sign in problem. (but now i signed in web browser, keep update by refreshing internet explorer autorefresh)

Apart from this i need intraday historical data for nifty spot to use test for trading system it is useful for me and other forum member

and also i am waiting for your next version. Thank u for your time spend to create such utility.

Watch list in Chart Data is updating realtime in Nifty_spt only, other scrips are not updating in real time there is 15 minitus lagging time. please look into the matter and help to get real time feeds for other stocks.

Try logging into yahoo mail directly from your browser with the option "Keep me signed in" to get real time quotes.

Is it working now? I don't see any problems/interruptions as you mentioned, there should be some changes happened to your system without your notice. Try debugging it will resolve your issue.

Please find attached the screenshot taken now and it is showing YAH00 data. If chartsdata works fine before then it should work now, unless if yah00 stops updating their finance datas. Try to think of any changes you made to your system or to chartsdata files.

As i already said, i am not a data vendor, owner of these datas were YAH00, NSE and BSE. Also, I don't see any errors in the charts, could you please mention what exactly the error is?

Dear NiftyChance,

While backfilling, you should be updating any one of the TA-Softwares (AB/MS/FC) else all the datas will be saved only in CSV format and you can't see it in charts. BACKFILL only with any one of the TA-CHARTS in updating mode.

While using ChartsData, ODIN with amibroker, the ODIN data is getting picked up correctly but in the Amibroker the date shown is reversed (month to date, and date to month) so for e.g. for 10th Feb the chart shows the data as 2nd Oct, for 11 FEB, it shows as 2nd Nov and so on, however from 13 its showing correct date.

Logan told me that solution to this problem is already discussed on the thread but I could not find it

If any one has solved this problem or knows where it is discussed plz let me know.

Another problem I am facing is the backfill, I select backfill for FnO at end of the day, the software shows the status bar and also the 100% completed message, but no data is added to amibroker, the data seems to be getting downloaded as seen from internet activity.

Other than the above the ODIN related utility is working fine.
