Dear Ajay,

If you cant login through chartsdata and to get realtime quotes, open YAH00 mail in your IE and choose "keep me signed in" before logging. This will create a cookie and whenever you choose to view mails, it will take you to mail home.

i am facing problem with not able to login to yahoo, as i have read the entire thread i have tried logging in may times but everytime it give error stating that "invalid id or password pls try again" i am logged in to yahoo mail also with option of keep logged in, i have tried out almost everything but not able to login. so i am not able to use your software at all

i tried to email you but the email bounced back.

i am awaiting some solution to this

Dear Bhulokeshwar,

I am not an expert in using Amibroker but will try to help you out in this issue. I guess the problem might be with the database time settings, where you choose the start and end time for trading datas. Another problem might be, save amibroker database whenever you close because sometimes the database might not be saved with the datas that you are viewing.

I am using chartdata for connecting odin to amibroker 5.2v
automatic analysis back testing is not working.where as i use datafetcher ,it is working.
I found that by using chartdata date is not displaying between two days.i mean after 23.55hrs of this day ,next day if i open date is not comming ,directly 10hrs displaying.
NOTE--same amibroker i used both datafetcher and chartdata.

Dear Nitin,

Please check whether you got the file name yahoo-data.txt under c:\chartsdata\data folder and webdata.exe running in your system tray. Sometimes, the icon for webdata.exe will be displayed but originally it will be terminated.

Hi...congratulations on this great software...keep up the good work!

I had been using chartsdata for a few months before i had to format my hard drive...but now after installation,all the options are deactivated...im using amibroker 5.2..i m able to successfully sign into yahoo and select my profile...but the symbols which are selected in the profile are not being displayed under the DATA menu like they used to and i cant select any of the options in charts-ta or backfill..although the data is being constantly updated in Y!chart and all the other features are working.
Im using Xp sp3.Attaching a screenshot as well.

I am having licence copy of Metastock but problem is that realtime data is not getting updated in that. so I have downloded Amibroker free copy in Amibroker data is getting updated in realtime but when i colse the amibroker data gets errased please help me to how to save data in Amibroker and in Chart data folder where it get stored. Also please help me how to solve problem of Metastock for getting realtime quotes. Quotes are lagging 5 minuits.

Dear Maruti Mane,

I haven't programmed to lag metastock data for 5 minutes, please check with this as you might not be logged in to yah00. Open metastock in offline mode rather than online mode by default and open it before running ChartsData.

ChartsData will save amibroker database on random time basis (only in evaluation version) and it would be better to save amibroker database manually before closing it.

I have a same problem like yours when first time I created database setting in amibroker. What happened with me was that, at that time when ever I tried to create a database like C:\ChartsData\AmiBroker\, it didn't happened so I create a database C:\ChartsData\AmiBroker\1. It got working but whenever I closed amibroker database also erased even if I click save Database and save all in amibroker. So I created a new folder in 'C' as Chartsdata and erasing the previous one. Then created the database C:\ChartsData\AmiBroker\ and run chartsdata and click save database and save all in amibroker. Then it works. No problem happened there after. Please try if your problem solved.

in amibrokers free copy u cant save the data, u need to have register copy of ami to save the data

Thanks for the prompt response.I checked the folder C:\Chartsdata\Data but couldnt find the file yahoo-data.txt.The folder only has files named after the profiles with extension .prof.
Also,i checked the Task Manager and Webdata is shown running as an application and a process and is using the processor.I ve tried reinstalling and downloading the file again but get the same error.What could be the problem?

Absence of yahoo-data.txt shows that the data was not downloaded from yah00 in your system. Webdata.exe will download data from YAH00 based on your script selection in <profile name>.prof file, so please check whether your .prof file has selected scripts and ensure that webdata was working fine or hanged up with any other programs. If you net connection is slow then it might take few minutes to start data extraction, please wait for sometime to check this too.

What was the problem with nse data in yahoo. Past 3 days first 30 min data is missing.
