im having a serious problem here,
i followed your software installation/configuration rules accurately as i know the importance of them as im a software engg too..
here is the problem >>I HAD EARLIER ERROR LIKE "R0625" BUT I SOLVED IT BY FOLLOWING YOUR .CHM FILE IN INSTALLDIR BUT NOW A NEW ERROR COMES WHENEVER I TRY TO START THE APPLICATION THE DIALOG BOX COMES "ChartsData.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to be closed" n then the whole system hangs up!
i tried to uninstall n reinstall the software ...but everytime im getting the same error message!
i even read all posts in this thread but cudnt find anyone with similar problem!
so except to hear from you soon..thank you

I am not sure about the problem as the error was not specific. Could you please mail me your exact problem along with the snapshot of the error such that it would be easy for me to track what went wrong with your system. Also, mail me your system and browser configuration details. If possible, we can clear this out thru teamviewer.

Dear mfadhd,

Since a lot of members mailed me to release a version with limited functionalities but without expiry i'd designed this but the no of scripts for limited edition was chosen by members alone. They mailed me to have atleast two scripts and hence the limitation of 2 scripts in the limited version - in the thought that small traders won't trade more than 2 at a time, atleast initially.

Let me first congratulate you on this great effort to put together this software and its quite helpful and useful. I am not a seasoned trader but just installed the tool to go through what it offers and is quite impressive.

Have not got any issues with it except the 2 scripts limitation on the whole.

If it is not against your principles of sharing, may I request you to parameterise the number of stocks one wish to see even in the registered version??

Thanks a lot for posting the latest version which will be available till next year. your software makes it very helpful for someone like me who is new to day trading and learning the tricks of the game. I am following this space fram 2 month now and really appreciate your deligence on solving the queries for the members.

From today morning i am getting an error 424 Object required when opening charts data. I am using your latest setup which was working fine till yesterday.
it will be great if you can help us know how to resolve this error. I use two laptops and getting the same error in both of them from today morning. May be some windows vista updates got installed yesterday night which is creating the issue. Just thinking on fly

Thanks. It is up to you to choose the number of scripts in the registered version as it is not restricted to certain limit. You can add any number of scripts till your system/internet speed supports. I have checked with ODIN for 150 scripts and YAHOO with 45 scripts working fine in old Celeron - 256MB.

1. Goto installation folder and find a file named Click2Reg.bat, open it to register dll/ocx files if anything was not correctly registered before or corrupted.

2. If you have already logged in to yahoo, sign-out of it and start chartsdata.

3. Make sure your IE browser is not upgraded to IE 7 or IE 8 as ChartsData will support browsers IE6 alone.

Let me know if you face any issues still.

For me ChartsData works OK with IE8.
