To
vmonu,

Are you sure Angel is charging 0.10 for f & o? or is it 0.01 ? (any preconditions for volumes? or prepaid vouchers?) Because 0.1 is more than even icicidirect which charges 0.05

Do the RM's reply to e-mails? I am just curious, as i have sent 2 emails last week and he didn't even respond. I called him up and got the impression that he never opens inbox :annoyed:
Just wondering how to contact him in case he is not reachable through phone.

Try this get the addresses of at least 2 branches of Indiabulls. Contact them for some details on any 2 of their numbers. You might just get different rates for account opening. One of the numbers usually the mobile is for the senior Relationship manager. Once you get their mobile numbers you can contact them directly. As far as contacting them by email it seems different branches have different ways of working. i.e. we have to confirm their email ids with them. i know what you mean, several of my mails to other brokers not Indiabulls bounced off.
ps. I too am looking to open an account for intraday esp. got quoted the same basic rates in both indiabulls and sharekhan.

Hi
I got the scanned trading agreement paper from Indiabulls today. One page was about NSE Margin Trading, and it was cancelled out:confused:
What is it all about?

Don't we need to open a margin account to trade short or short selling? Will they charge extra for opening margin account now?

Can anyone tell me what this is all about ? - http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/3049/ttradingkit.png
www.sharekhan.com/services/ExchangeMarginFunding.htm

Looking at this facility provided by sharekhan I guess Indiabulls offer something similar but at 18% interest rate i read somewhere.
I am too trying to open at account with them. They said they give 7 days to square off the position. I did not know what is the the catch. But I think the interest rate charged for funding this is what they missed telling me. I guess it is better not to avail this feature. It is risky..
They said 0.5 del and 0.1 both sides for intraday, Futures 0.05 Options 2.5% or Rs 100. What did they offer you.
I am a bit puzzled since not many seem to use Indiabulls on traderji :annoyed: comapared to Sharekhan even though evryone praises the PIB terminal. Even Geojit gets a better response.

They told me the same rates too.
and about short selling, i read somewhere that we have to square off the position in T+7 days, i guess that is the norm.

Margin Funding is a risky thing, whichever broker u choose.
You have to pay interest too whenever u use margin funds to trade. My RM doesn't know anything about margin funding. I had to ask the helpdesk and they told me that the exposure is x12 for intraday and x4(or x2, i dont remember) for delivery.

I have an account with indiabulls and am using PIB software for the last 2 months. I traded only intraday till today. Not positional. will come to know about it when i take the delivery of scrips.

Meantime.... about PIB if anybody wants to know anything I am here to answer.

Go ahead with your doubts.

Well i like to clarify these issues:
1.In short selling we have to square off the position in T+7 days ,is it the same as margin funding? And are we charged interest on holding a position for 7 days?
2. I read earlier that contract notes take some 4 days to arrive. Is this resolved?
3. I read that "Trading on NSE is allowed online but on BSE only thru RM". Is this true. I mean this matters for arbitrage trades.
4.Options trading is restricted. Is this true?
5. I read after 8 ,PIB closes for the day. So when is the after market orders taken?
6. Also its 0.5 del and 0.1 both ways intraday right. i.e. 0.05 buy intraday and 0.05 selling intraday right? I read that we have no written records of brokerage agreed on,so does it pose a problem?

Well that about it.:D

Thanks to everyone asking and answering Q's on this thread!

I am planning to open an NRI account with IB soon. A little confused b/w IB and Sharekhan. Can anyone suggest which ones better for swing and long term? I was thinking of intra-day but cant do that as an NRI according to an IB agent.

Any suggestions?
