Strategy 1:

Sold Straddle for 327 premium. Right now total premium = 238. Profit = 89

Strategy 2:

Buy 2700 stradle for 238 rs. we need to break 2472 on downside and 2938 on upside.


Pl note both these are mtually exclusive strategies, we are paper testing both to see if one or both will give us good profits

Hi Bandlab,

Is there any reason for choosing 2700 straddle over 2800 ? Shouldn't we consider previous month's settlement price to choose.. as the closer we guess the this month's settlement price.. the higher premium we get to keep...
Also 2800 will give more upper protection....

are u talking about 1or 2?

for 1, we chose 2700 because we were closer to 2700 when we started the trade

for 2, i took 2700 because there is more downside than upside possible, this reflects in higher premiums for puts than calls

I read about a strategy I dont get what do u mean by hit

"bull spread: 2700c short 2800
bear spread 2600p short 2500
combine the 2 spreads and both are likely to be hit "
I think getting hit means one or 2 spread are going to be reached once one side of range once other side I just cannot understand how specfically how when at what levelshould one sell that spread before expiry

Sold Straddle for 327 premium. Right now total premium = 184. Profit = 143. target is nearing. we will close this tomorrow if we get profit of 164

Strategy 2:

Bought 2700 stradle for 238 rs. Right now total premium = 184 Loss = 52
