Pivot Based Trading - 1:2 risk reward ratio (Risk less Profit more)

I am quite impressed with the Camarilla method of trading. It makes you enter in the trade earlier than simple/fibo pivot based method.

Can anyone tell me how to get a small software that can be downloaded and saved on the computer for Camarilla levels?

Web-based calculator is given but I would be happy if I don't have to rely on web-based calculator. I would like to download the Camarilla calculator software if it is possible.

Please help!
:confused:

dear bushandoshi please find enclosed the calcuation for camarilla levels. you can do the calcuation using the excel file
Here Is The Calculation:

H4 = {(High-Low)*(1.1/2)}+Close
H3 = {(High-Low)*(1.1/4)}+Close
H2 = {(High-Low)*(1.1/6)}+Close
H1 = {(High-Low)*(1.1/12)}+Close

L1 = {(High-Low)*(1.1/12)}-Close
L2 = {(High-Low)*(1.1/6)}-Close
L3 = {(High-Low)*(1.1/4)}-Close
L4 = {(High-Low)*(1.1/2)}-Close

Hi Nava,

I think your little trading tool is excellent.....i want to know how we can set the autorefresh function as u mentioned in ur thread.Right now we have to manually refresh it. I also tried to set the automatic refresh on in the web query......but there min refresh rate is 1min.

(Don't get fooled by my joining date, I joined just out of curiosity back then and abandoned my plan to learn and trade. Recently, I took serious efforts to learn trading and learned a lot from this wonderful forum).

Nifty Futures Analysis for today (13th July 2009)

At 10:25-10:30 the price of Nifty Futures was 3930-3940.

This i between S1 and S2.

So we buy above Pivot and Sell below S2.

Sell at S2 trigerred. (3927)

0.5% Target=3907 (achieved)
0.75% Target = 3897 (not achieved).

Profit for today = 0.5%
I need to make some changes to this theory based on my experience.

It is described in the post below.

I now plan to change this theory a little.

I want to change this thoery from 1:2 risk reward to 1:1 risk reward.

Uptill now, pivot was important value for us.

If value is between R1, R2, R3, we used to sell only below pivot.

and

If value is between S1,S2,S3 we used to buy only above pivot.

Below are the changes, which i want to make to this thoery.

---------------------------------------------------------

1. Change the first target to 0.5% from 0.75%.
2. Keep the stoploss of 0.5%.
3. Now based on the previous day high,low and close we calculate R1,R2,R3,Pivot,S1,S2 and S3.
4. Based on this values we divide the range R3-S3 into 6 parts based on this values.
5. We just look at the price at 10:25-10:30 am.
6. This price will fall in any one (out of 6) parts.
7. We buy above upper limit of that part and sell below lower limit of that part. Keeping strict profit target of 0.5% and stoploss of 0.5%.
8. Now when we book our first profit or first loss, we consider that particular price(price at which profit or stoploss triggered) as the base price(instead of price at 10:25-10:30)
9. Now this price will fall in any one (out of 6) part.
10. Again we apply the same rule.

I will start a new thread with this modified thoery.

Radha

I have also followed the same system. My results dont paint a very good picture of this system.

I had a below par result of 50 -60% strike rate, even at 0.5%. Maybe, it was only me but it dint pan out well.

Looking forward to your next thread.

Nifty Futures Analysis for today.

At 10:30 the price of Nifty Futures was between R1 and Pivot,

So we buy above R1. (4159)

1% Target = 4200
2% Target = 4242

So profit for today = 2%.

Actually this theory works very good in trneding market like today.

Only problem, how to find in morning that the day will be a trending day.
