God! 200 lots. Better square it off today. I'm no expert, but commenting cuz you're sharing. I won't keep the options for the next week.

I would suggest that you dont give advice for such a big qty. Just my view, you may choose to disagree

Let me put this into perspective....

Yesterday had opened shorts at 6082 levels... One of my colleagues voiced that the markets seem to have stopped falling and may move up. Though the system was still short, I wavered because of that input and squared the shorts.

Fortunately I was able to get in again today, or it would have been a missed trade.

I suggested to exit it today cuz there is perhaps a time decay factor in the options. I don't know much. However, I have been saved in one of my trades cuz I sold everything off on Friday.

Still I'm no expert.

Note : again bought 68 lots more 6200 ce today . so total holding including yesterday is now 78 lots of 6200 ce .
2 Lots of jan futures bought today .
May be tommorow will sell every thing and book huge loss ???!!!!... seems the 76k got two days ago will vanish .....

07-01-2010-Gambling LOSS 76K . so number now -1449-76K=-1525k

1) Just accounted the profit of 76k got on the start of this week as loss today for clarity . Infact the acutal loss should be more .let me calulate and add on next week as the following positions are still open

a) 258 lots of 6200 CE .
b) 67 lots 6000 CE
c) 2 lots jan futures.

Suppose I buy 1 lot of Nifty CE 6100 lot today, Can I sell it today itself.

To be frank with u, I dont know know anything about options.

Please clarify my doubts.

Today I bought 2 lots of Nifty CE 6100 @ 30.75.

1. Can I sell these lots today itself or can I sell them any day in the coming weeks. If not so, If I should sell them only on expiry date i.e., 27.1.11, If the value of these lots goes below Rs.0, should I pay the minus amount to the broker.

2. On the last date should I close these lots or, it will be closed by the exchange automatically.

1. You can sell those lots today itself, next week or in other words up to the expiry. The value will not go below zero. The premium you pay, in this case 30.75 x 50 will be your max loss per lot.

2. If you don't close your position, the exchange will do the honour for you on the last Thursday of the month.

options can be sold any day u want..can be bought and sold within one minute also..
so do not worry.. about that..
value of option never goes below zero..
and please never wait till option to be closed by exchange and for huge brokerage please..square it off in market hour:clapping::clapping::clapping:
