Yes, and this will happen very quickly. As I have seen in the forum, many try to profit from that, but do not have sufficient knowledge about how to handle it and some times lose a lot of money, you may think twice to go in this business.

you mean to say yesterday is a day to buy puts or calls ?

The game got over yesteray, for punters who were long naked Put Options, they multiplied their stakes.

Did you anticipate a big (distance) and fast (speed) move (read a 'bounce back') on Monday? If yes then you should have held what you are holding now. But if neither the distance nor the speed and both together are not favaouring your long Call options, the writing is on the wall.

Dear S'72,

You are in a situation, where you want to hear what your mind wants you to hear.

There is a difference in want and know. Just the mental frame in which we are to predict the future. Just enough difference to make or break the game. You want it to happen (desperation) and I know it will happen (confidence).

The reason for difference in want and know is simple, how much it at stake? My positions may be grossly large/small than yours but the proportion of my stake to my overall portfolio is small for such directional overnight positions.

Hence even if my 'know will happen' is wrong, I am still a game for some other day, but if the 'want to happen' is wrong, you are gone.

my plan to is to dump b) 67 lots of 6100 CE on monday c) 2 lots of futures.
what to do 258 lots of 6200CE ? can i buy some put ?

You should convert all your 6200ce jan to 6000ce jan or 6400ce feb... do not add amount just sell all your 6200 ce and buy with the same amount whatever quantity you get....

really i dont understand ur above reply -why because, i donot think that much complex....

if friday selling is not by fear then market will not come back again. if it is by fear then monday, tuesday, wednesday there may be some pull back . this will make me to close my 6000 ce positions. but 6200 position is much serious now. including the option incentives i have max 150k to loss to keep me at my dead line.thinking to exit market.

Last friday, I bought 2 lots of nifty ce 6100 @ 30.75 per lot. This is the first time I am trading in option. To say it frankly, i dont know anything about derivatives.

Hoping that next week nifty may recover, at last minute I bought these 2 lots. As of now, Rs.375 profit. I can afford to lose half of my investment in this.

Coming to the point, as you told, after 15th the value per lot will decrease rapidly... I want to know why it is so... If market turns positive next week by chance, then also will the value come down?

As you bought at last moment i think u will get good exit with profit with in first three days of next week .
I sugest play with small lots say max 2 lots until u feel comfortable....
