Too many fights going on in commodities threads these days. Few guys have been posting clearly to solicit subscribers and they try to outsmart each other....

How come so many market wizards all gathered in Commodities ? Thank God m not a moderator there....too many fights....:D

I have few thoughts for mods.
Its easy to avoid fights, if the following rules were adapted and strictly followed.
On breaking these two rules admins should kick those toxic people out
(or accept them back after an apology).

rule #1 no_attack_rule: Never attack a person. i.e don't be a narcissist prick.
rule #2 respect_the_fellow_rule: Maintain a sense of respect to everyone (including people whom you think are dumb/&^*%%) people grow and evolve over time.
If you disagree a simple 'I don't agree' is enough, no need to damage the person and his entire family along with grand parents!

Other than that a light hearted teasing/challenges/fun all are welcomed.

Friends, I need some help.

I am changing my location to a place where the only wired broadband available is Bsnl. For back up, the only other options i have are reliance and aircel 3G.

I run amibroker with manshi data feed and NOW trading treminal for trading. Could you guys who are using 3G internet for trading please tell whether the above set ups can be run by using 3G ? How is the connection reliability ? Disconnection frequency ?
I know the performance of 3G will vary from place to place. But i need a general idea. Please help.

It depends on your area. But If there is stable connection in 3G it is way better than Wired BSNL BB

I'm in a similar situation where BSNL is the only available wireline connection. I disconnected BSNL broadband because my Reliance Netconnect+ was more stable.

Airtel seems to be willing to add wires where only BSNL goes. Reliance and TATA are very picky about where their wireline goes (TATA WiMax is not nice, I felt radioactive while WiMax was being tested.)

Hope now you know what you are doing in markets. it is bad that you lost money, but it is worst if you don't earn it back from same market. lay low, learn the game and start again but with less capital and good stop loss.

Rules and guidelines may work for a few but they don't for a mob. At least not for us, the people of India - which is fast becoming 'must visit' rape capital of the world despite having the age old tradition of equating woman with gods and godesses. My personal suggestion to TJ admin would be this:

Let the whole forum become commo sort of forum. Total sattaa market. And make that punjabi putr, Mastertrader007, it super moderator. :D

This wise move will do 2 things in 1 go.

1. It will free our beloved ST bhai from the job of a constable (aka moderator), thereby making him one of us. He is a real cool dude and this 'khaki vardi' doesn't suit him. Of course, if he is getting paid in cash or in kind for the job, or getting some personal satisfaction out of it, then the matter is different.

2. Having Mastertrader as 'inspector general' (with billa number 007 ) of the forum not only will free TJ from some loud-mouth idiots bent on destroying good threads (very few left anyway), but also free TJ admin from day to day headache of scanning threads. Because, let us face the fact, TJ is no longer a place which people like Saint graced with their presence once upon a time. Newbies would spend grateful hours here learning from the masters of trading. Now it is just a long row of stalls manned by brokers, get-rich-quick guys, call givers, parrot-brand forecasters and what not. That is, it is more like a machali-baazar with all the stink and noise inherent to such baazars. In my view, only ST bhai is left of that old school. Of course, people who want to learn the ropes of trading, still come here. But they have to go through archives to learn anything worthwhile.

So stop pretending that you are some 'do gooders' who are born to make the world a better place. You are not, sorry. Just be the real men and accept this reality that TJ is just place to generate hefty ad revenue in lieu for letting people come together and have a bit of fun and chit chat (and gaali-gloz sometimes :p).

ST bhai in this scheme of things is just an aberration not the norm.

alright...
If anyone has awarded me with Mr. Do_gooder of the year am submitting it back,
if anyone planning to nominate me for noble peace prize, please kindly stop am not born to save the world!

Even a movie theater is a place where people come together for small ticket fee to have fun
that doesn't mean any kind of crap should be allowed. If a theater is run without any policy of conduct
soon there won't be a theater to sell tickets!

That's a simple logical truth, not world_saving_do_gooder_pretense!
Not understanding simple logical truth doesn't make any one 'real men' either...

okay am done... I am not participating with your dialog anymore!
