Dear SG

As per this the Long position is still open right ?
Hi VMK,

There is enough in this Strategy for Traders/Investors to tweak it to their own Individual Comfort Levels.... what I have marked on the Chart is simply where we stand at the end of the session of 17/04/2012....!!!

Moreover, an Important new condition has been displayed which is what one does with their already open position when a huge bar is witnessed....!!!

After, a huge Bar as the one seen on the chart and the immediate bar being a Red/Bearish Bar we then hold the Long position with Low of this bearish Bar as the Trailing S/L....!!!

There are several new conditions which shall be outlined as we go along with this exercise...!!!

Alternative -I (For Trailing Exit)

There is another alternate that I personally follow for particular Curreny Pair & International Commodities on on EOD Charts... which is to move the Trailing S/L to Every Alternate Swing Low for a Long Entry instead of Moving the Trailing S/L to every subsequent Swing Low.....!!!

Later, will post a chart with above example by editing this Post...!!!

600 pts stoploss in BNF !! quite steep !
BNF is a very fast and sensitive counter, TP. I trade it on regular basis. If Nifty needs a room of, say, 40 points minimum to manoeuvre through its fluctuations, then BNF requires at least a 'hall' 5 times bigger than that room. OTOH, a good swing BNF veteran would say: make that a Banquet hall, sonny! :D

TP,

From the manual backtest of NF ....noticed there were only 2 trades that Triggered the Initial S/L...out of 93 Trades in about 12 years...!!!

While Initial S/L is usually pretty deep when an Entry that has Triggered after a Long time....!!!

Once the Trend is established and (Small Waves) small Swing Low S/L gets Triggered within the overall Trend... one will notice thereafter the S/Ls aren't as deep as for the Entry Triggered for 18/04/2012...!!!

Anyways, this is a live exercise for NF & BNF ...let's see how things unfold...!!!

Guys, I'm not doubting the strategy or the stoploss or anything. Just wondering what a small budget guy would/should do to take advantage of the trade that has been signalled, and has 91:2 chances of success. Suppose the budget or the risk does not allow the trader to buy the index .... Wondering what options a low-budget trader has :D
Initial S/L is usually Steep...because of the Breakout... but quickly gets moved...once in the Trend....!!!
