Don't worry . I will try my best to help you .But Sharekhan TT quotes are kind of delayed I think .What u see on market watch is I believe is a snapshot - maybe 4 sec delayed (Not sure).I will mail u NSE.xls which is a single file we can create for fetching quotes.

We can get data for n numbers of scrip but at times I have found quotes getting mixed.Like Nifty futures value 5209 gets shown for BankNifty.

But if u want to use only one scrip ( which I do ) ..it works perfectly fine.

Or if u want to avoid mixing of quotes , u can try one trick which has helped me.

I am still in office , will add u on yah.

One more thing - Sharing of email id is not allowed in our forum I think.U can remove it ..

Regards,
Raju

Dear Sirji,

I have Windows XP, Office 2003, and Amibroker 5.20, and a trading account with Ventura.

Is there a possibility to get Real time data from Ventura's trading platform " Pointer " into Amibroker, using your method ?

My email add is carnot11 at gmail dot com, for further communication.

Enjoy,
CArnot

thank you sir, I need your support on team viewer. Thank you
Rajvir,

I was able to pull Sharekhan TT ( SILVER 05-Dec-2011 MCX data Live to Amibroker ).It is very slow.NOW software seems good option.

Following was done

  1. Reduce column required in TT - Required = Symbol Name , Last Traded Qty , Current
  2. Created New Excel Snapshot Saved in c:\
  3. Added one sheet in snapshot sheet and named the added sheet = NSE
  4. Named the snapshot sheet = NSE
  5. In NSE sheet - add Symbol , LTP and LTQ in row 1
  6. Pull data from streaming_quotes to NSE sheet
  7. Then use ALT+I+N+D... to name the cell as given in uploaded sheet

  8. Then in Amibroker create linking as given in Image file

I have mailed u all the image files and excel sheet also.

All the best ...

Regards,
Raju

Two useful settings to speed up quotes retrieval
1. Tools preferences, Intraday, Realtime chart refresh interval [sec] -
2. Configure the RTD Throttle Interval In Excel

This can only be modified via the Excel object model or the registry. There is no user interface for configuring the RTD throttle interval in Excel.
  • If the RTD throttle interval is set to -1, this is considered manual mode, and Excel only checks for updates when Excel.Application.RTD.RefreshData is called.
  • If the RTD throttle interval is set to zero, Excel checks for updates every chance it gets.
  • If the RTD throttle interval is set to something greater than zero, Excel waits at least that number of milliseconds between checks for updates.
Caution If updates come in so frequently that Excel is continuously updating values and doing calculations, Excel might end up in a state where it never gives the user a chance to do anything, effectively getting in a hung state. If this happens, set the Excel throttle interval higher.

To set the throttle interval higher through the Excel object model:
  1. In Excel, go to the Visual Basic Editor (by pressing ALT+F11 or clicking Visual Basic Editor from the Macro menu (Tools menu)).
  2. In the Immediate window (press CTRL+G or click Immediate Window on the View menu), type this code:
    Application.RTD.ThrottleInterval = 1000
  3. Make sure your cursor is on the line that you just typed, and then press ENTER.
  4. To verify that it is set correctly, type this line of if code in the Immediate window:
    ? Application.RTD.ThrottleInterval
  5. If you put your cursor at the end of this line and press ENTER, it should display 1000. Then you know that your throttle interval is set correctly.
To set the throttle interval higher through the registry, set the following registry key. It is a DWORD and is in milliseconds:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Excel\Options\RTDThrottleInterval

sssselva,

I am actually not aware of NEST TRADER , so would only be able to try after I get to download that s/w and check if linking facility is available ?

Is free trial available of it ?
Is it something related to NSE NOW ?

I was not in touch with market for some days due to work pressure. Will also search myself and update when I find something on it.

Raju

Dear Raju,
I would like to know a way to fetch rt data from Nest Trader to MT4 or Amibroker. can u tell if it is possible.
Regards

Hi ,

I tried downloading the following from a shared site. But was not able to install as I have 64 bit and s/w was 32 so gave os error. If you have installed version then please check if some linking to excel options are available or no ?

Nest Trader 3.10.56.51_Setup_lanucher(SSJ)

I have no access to NEST so won't be able to help further. If you are able to find linking option in NEST then job becomes simple else there is further a difficult way like searching for server , topic name etc and then pulling it via some DDE/OLE .

I am available on yah if u need any help.

Raju
