Ok. how do you select which ones to track?
Its a fairly long and complex procedure, it would not do justice to you or the method to tell it in a nutshell as you will get wrong meaning of it. I rather suggest that you read Intelligent Investor for the ABDs of fundamental analysis. :thumb:

Hi, starting new thread to encourage peoples to invest into stock market.
I have 500 shares of Caplin bought in August 2012 @ ~30.xx average cost. I have sold today 200 shares at Upper circuit of 136.65 ! Please advise on future prospects. Asking you as this stock appears in your Portfolio. To me it was suggested by one Shravan Kumar, no longer active here. And also a suggestion of stocks to invest : 25000/- for Long term.
It was sheer luck that I could get this price because these shares were locked up in my old DP account due to some dispute about payment of charges and lack of PAN card etc. Had 500 Caplin, 100 Cera ceramic 20 Tata Steel and 10 shares of Apollo Hospital in this DP. So problems do bring some opportunities too at times.

Hello Einstein/G
Do you guys have any link explaining the terminologies of pharma? I hear 2 many buzz words like api, formulations, anda, generic, branded. Is there a description of all those and stating the advantages/disadvantages of the same?
Thanks

Can some one pls tell me how to read a cash flow statement? I thought an entry is made only when cash is involved however I see depreciation expense in operating activities. I believe all listed companies follow a format. Is there a link explaining the same?thanks

Try some informative videos on youtube, you'll find very good explanations there from professors and investors.
