I am sorry but this confuses a newbie like me...actually 3ema bearish crossover happened in Nifty on 7/12. I couldnt short that day so today (8/12) morning I planned to short when nifty was 14 points down from 7/12s close, but didnt do.
Now SH sir says wait for tomorrow to short in futures.
Would you please elaborate?
Regards,
Kirst.

Krist - not sure why you are confused? You didnt short on either 7/12 or yesterday morning ... and Nifty has fallen 150 points since 7/12 close.

Please go through my previous post about 100 MA support - this is the reason I booked my shorts and now waiting for a re-entry in shorts again at some point today. However did ask people to carry some puts instead of futures overnight.

In 315, you have to short immediately as soon as the crossover happens...you cant just blindly jump in when the crossover has already given 150 points profit. What if it whipsaws from here? you will not lose 50-100 points like others but lose 250-300 points... what is better.. to wait for the right time to enter ..or to take 250-300 point risk??

Cheers

Hi SH sir,
the reason I hesitated to go short based on 315 is I am not a full time trader. And, if I have understood well, as per 315 you have to enter around 3.25, and if opposite crossover happens anytime in the daytime from next day onwards you have to cut yor trade and open opposite trade at 3.25 if crossover sustains.
So thats problem for me, as I can take action only based on EOD values. Can you suggest something for traders like me?

Regards.

Krist,

This is basically EOD strategy....
It is not necessary that you should take position at 3.25... You can take it next day morning...
Also squaring of decision is not intraday but based on EOD closing...

Basically position review is daone at EOD considering prices at 3.25 as closing price for the day.... & if someone wants then actions can be triggered in last 5minutes.

Shorted NF now at 5830. SL close above 5840 today.

IF it closes above 100 EMA today, i will open swing longs.

Cheers

Closing happening above 100 EMA levels. So closing shorts and opening longs now.

This 315 trade gave 50 points (100 booked yesterday but 50 lost today in shorts).

As usual, a close below 100 EMA will again push me back to shorts (in direction of 315).

Cheers
SH
