please download Fncharts evaluation version from the following link
http://www.wdsoftware.com/download.php?file=fnchartspro_eval
This is the evaluation version of fncharts (icharts and investbulls also use the same software). Unzip the folder on a place of convenience.
Open the unzipped folder then open->
fncharts_pro_8 -> then open
program -> then open
fncharts -> then open folder
data
U will find a file named sample1.txt replace this file with file attached here with.
What i am doing here, basically the sample file included by me is having EOD data of nifty from 01-06-2004 to till date.
Now at 3.20 of next trading day (say it is 21-02-2011) what i will do, i will right click on sample1.txt and open with note pad and i will add the following line in the end of file:
date in yyyymmdd, open,high,low,close,volume
i.e
20110221,5500.00,5563.95,5500.00,5558.90,21000
if u dont know the vol just put 0. thats all.
Now how to view chart:
Open the unzipped folder then open->
fncharts_pro_8 -> then open
program -> then open
fncharts01.html with internet explorer/ mozilla firefox/ or any other browser. open sample1 and this is ur nifty charts from 01-06-2004 to 18-02-2011.
PS: sample1 is just used to maintain simplicity, u can have any name. there are two steps involved in it
1. save the file in the name of script (say nifty.txt instead of sample1.txt)
2. edit fncharts01.html in notepad and add nifty in PREDEFINED FAVORITE SYMBOLS list.
Thats it.
Disclaimer: this is just a workaround and not a complete software, Please use only free/standard/evaluation version of fncharts.
