Hi Joisar !!
I find this forum and posts of all the knowledgeable members like u very applicative and practical !! At the same time they are very interesting while reading !! Thanks a lot for all of u !! A small question , is there any method by which we can know that nifty will open gap up/down before end of earlier day ??
Thanx in advance !!

I observered few things which can be helpful to get to know the next day open scenario (there are exception cases too).
  • 3 ema left (2 days - 95%, 1 day - 70%)
  • 30 mins RSI, 5 mins RSI < 30 or > 70 (Sometimes it can < 20 or > 80)
  • Crossover 315 strategy on either side
  • Closed near previous swing low/high (without high/low broken)

Can anybody please tell , why the timeframes are fixed to be 3 days , 6 weeks etc etc .... I mean on wat basis these numbers have been come upon to be ???

One more point

When 3 ema closed against trend for 2 consecutive days (315 rule) then also there is chance of gap up / down

Well, I do not agree with that view. Rather, I would voice this statement as follows: When 3 ema closed against trend for 2 consecutive days, the current trend is over. In other words, the trend would have reversed. But gap up or gap down, I am not sure!!!

Any reference!!!!

I dont have old reference as of now.

Recent one, check Arvind when on 12th June, 3 ema closed against trend for 2nd day and on 13th June, it open 1 point down i.e. around 1.25% down.

This is my observation and it does not means it will work always as expected.

All above conclusions will also have exceptions and we have to live with it :)
