Its not as easy as you are making it sound.... predictions also have a certain amount of 'luck' factor involved, and this factor can be nullified with utmost discipline.



Excuse me , I may be totally wrong, but you sound as if you want members to laud your something different predictions??? I dont know about others but you were squarely nailed in Arvind Mills by Sagi, who said it will go down, and down it went, fell with a thud , it does not matter if it went up after quiet some time, and as per your own view , your own admission while ridiculing Sagi's view on Arvid Mills: what if a stock goes down when the entire mkt is going down, well Sir, same is true for your calls too... when the entire mkt is going up so what if your calls go up too.....



Why not phrase it : I am writing this in the forum to get accolades in general from all and specifically from the TA.

Well you may be enraged by my post but this the mesage I got from your thread!!!!

You have started this thread to know what's wrong that other users find with your post. By replying to Mr.shravan in such words ( 420 & all ), you sound that you want only accolades for your views.Then why to start such thread ??

The precise reason I never give any calls.

It just ruins your own trading. Vise versa
If you trade, it ruins your calls.

I respect both (Trader & Analyst) in their true formats.

hari09omkar, you should really meet real professional traders who use chart patterns to trade.
no offence,
but people earns bread & butter by trading these charts for years. & Respects what they do.

Hello, Are you implying that a Good trader cannot be a good analyst and a good analyst cannot be a good trader????!!!!!!
OR is it that an Analyst should either trade on the basis of his analysis and NOT TO GIVE CALLS, and if at all the calls are given as per his own analysis the Analyst should not himfelf TRADE HIS OWN CALLS.

I tend to disagree to either implication.

I know atleast three persons whose analysis are reasonably accurate and they share their analysis (read give calls) and also trade them successfuly!!!
I think Dev also is in this category, though only he can answer whether he gives out the calls and also trades them successfully.

What you say is very normal & obvious.

But as they say, "it's not common to be normal".

Here comes human psychology.

When you trade (without giving calls), feeling undercurrent, you just easily jump to contra positions without hesitating. Like fish in water.

But if you give calls, pressure to show performance don't allow you maneuver coolly. also ego is there.

Vice versa

If you give calls, for other people's money you again do it coolly.
success ratio increases.
When u trade with it, psychology enters with it's favourite tools, hope greed fear etc.

This is universally accepted truth. Thus highly paid professional analysts do not trade.

Please try n understand, You can say I know only after seeing there trading accounts personally (or asking them a rude {considered} question, how much you earned this month ? {How are you doing / Are you successful ? wont do} ) & nothing less will do.

& if it's true & they are doing it consistently, I must say they are great people. seriously.

I HAVE BECOME A PROFESSIONAL TRADER AFTER MUCH READINGS AND BACKTESTINGS OF IDEAS.IN THIS PROCESS I HAVE GIVEN HOURS TO LEARN.MORE THAN ANYTHING,I KNOW MANY WAYS 'NOT' TO MAKE CONSISTENT MONEY IN THE MARKETS.
I PAY RS.4000/- APPROXIMATELY PER MONTH TO MY DATA VENDOR,NOT TO CONTINUE THE SAME OLD PROCESSES OF LOOSING MONEY.I DON'T SAY CHART PATTERNS ARE WAYS TO LOOSE MONEY,BUT THERE ARE BETTER WAYS TO MAKE MONEY.
AND ABOUT MEETING THE PROFESSIONAL TRADERS...WELL I AM A STUDENT OF SUCH TWO RARE CREATURES....
