Hi TP,

In fact I was thinking of writing about it... even without being asked... when I realised that you didn't book profit when NF jumped to 5315 -5317 levels...!!!

Will explain....in the evening ...have some work.... for which I need to go just now....!!!

SG

SG, can you expand a bit more on this, with an example or two if possible. My purchase price was 5307.xx, SL was previous pivot low (5304, actually 5300 with filter). So what should've been my SL & target ? All this considering that my breakeven is about 4 points.

PS : I have been meaning to ask you this ever since I read it, but the markets had me stumped yesterday :)

APDD,

First things first...please drop the 'Sir' while addressing me.... simple SG will do fine....!!!

Let me outline what you have told me so far....
a) Available Capital is 1.5 Lac
b) Unlike Aarav you are available throughout the Trading session ==>
that would be from 9th of may. Using this time to change my broker to more economical one. any advise?
c) Your comfort level is 1 min because even 5 min TF makes you anxious
d) 4 paisa Brokerage with India Bulls

Plan is as follows....

a) In 2-3 months you should have no fear of Trading any TF ==>
I really want this to happen.
b) You will refrain from checking on Channels, Forums, Friends as to what they think Market is doing or going to be doing....!!!==>
will follow this advise.

c) Since you can devote full time ...will send you a link where few friends meet up during Trading hours....this is so we can communicate faster...!!!
==>
full time will be from 9th may. right now my screen time is 9.00 to 9.30, 10.00 to 10.15, 12.40 to 1.30 and 3.00 to 3.15

Guess that's about it for now.... we meet up on Monday...!!!

have replied in blue.....

yes you are right :) . any suggestions for changing the broker. I know there is broker/ Trading platforms section in forum, but still like to have your inputs for same.
C'mon, you couldn't have missed Zerodha and RKSV in here.

As suggested by TP, You can go with Zerodha, RKSV not yet.... because we do not know yet how actively we shall be trading.... perhaps in another 4-5 months we will have a better handle on the turnover & frequency of Trades...at that point we can have a re-look at the brokers for additional benefit...!!!

When changing to a new Broker.....Open Trading account for the following...

NSE Cash & Derivative
MCX Commodities

Don't sign up for BSE Segments....or NCDEX, or MCX Currency Trading...!!!

If you opt for Zerodha.... then go for only NSE Derivatives & MCX Commodities... because then you will not require a Demat Account...!!!

dear,
sorry to answer...but can't resist after reading TP's post....
if you trade with single LOT or 2 ( in single execution)just go for RKG,
but if you trade with more than 2 (in single execution, but not 2 ) then think abt zerodha(i am using) and RKSV
or if you trade like a scalper/arbitrate definitely go with BMA ( iam using ) there is one paisa/trade offer.

Machine-tool stocks ratcheted upward.

Toilet-paper companies wiped away earlier losses.

Boeing stock soared and Lockheed really took off.

A swimming-pool company floated a loan, and its IPO is going swimmingly.
But boat-building stocks were sinking fast.

Stock in 7-Up is flat.

Sun is expected to rise during morning trading.

EverReady stock was weak, but Duracell stock charged ahead.

Stock in several NFL franchises fumbled - many shareholders opted to punt.

Bell Helicopter hovered around its highs.

Real-estate investment trusts lost ground.

Pest-control companies got killed.

Victoria's Secret asset values were stripped.

But panty-hose companies found support.

Gillette stock had a close shave but finished up, a hair above yesterday's high.

Earnings report: Clairol came out a little dark, but it shouldn't be permanent.
And Sylvania looked bright in light trading.
