TP....a few years back somebody posted that he was basically a day trader and lost lot of money....and was left with only with 4-5k without any possibility of adding anymore......!!!

Considering he mentioned he was a day trader.....had to first get him off the Day Trading Addiction....so got him to deploy.... about 70-80% of what he had in Scrips.... with a view to get back to about 10k..... which is what he had lost while Day trading....he did as he was instructed.... while I kept track of the 3-4 scrips....that he had bought...!!!

Scrips did keep moving...up...and at some point... he was able to read charts fairly well by then.... and was able to exit some of those scrips....thereafter what happened ...I have no idea....!!!

Hopefully, he is cured of his addiction to day trading...!!!

We have a thread about it ?? If possible, provide a link. I would like to go over it during the weekend.

Also, why not assume a fictitious trader with 10k capital and guide him through the trades. Withdraw the profits when it reaches 12 k (or something), so that the trading capital remains 10k.

Anyways... for all those who think of keeping a S/L in the system....come back and review.... in about a 2-4 weeks....!!!

When Aarav's ledger is position sized to 4 MNFs for positional trading because he cannot devote full time to trading.... Flash crash gave an opportunity to enter the 2nd Lot....where is the question of S/L.....!!!

replying assuming you are indicating my question where i mentioned 'SL'.

mentioned it to clearly draw the situation that no SL of any kind in mind, means person can hold. As, wanted to know about that kind of situation what should do?, hold then till when? etc.

As i told you earlier i will be trading full time from next month and i can only think of daytrading as i am very nervous of gaps on the next day.

TP for years I have posted Triggers based on 2 Systems.....of the 2 Systems discussed in detail and AFL written by Kenneth.....there is one that dealt with 20/50 MA...with an allocation of 20k per scrip.... Triggers were given where Entry Price, Quantity of shares, Target & S/L used to be given with each scrip....while Uma took care of updates whether any of the active scrips had triggered S/L or had achieved the given Target....it was precisely the reason for which Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II was started....please go through the first few pages....to get a handle of what it really dealt with...!!!

When you are in sync with the market, you shouldn't fear about gaps... most of the time market gaps in the direction of the trend... In the 70s and early 80s, traders like Michael Marcus, Bruce Kovner etc were used to trade in the direction of the trend and markets used to gap up or down from one circuit to the other...

Please don't confuse what I am attempting to do with Aarav as a rule for others....what I have in mind for Aarav..is based on his available capital and time he can devote to Trading....!!!

For you it will be entirely a different ball game.....which I will outline it tonight....!!!

Look at the bright side...we were both able to exit CIL with decent profits.... and it was only yesterday .....you were getting bored with holding it...

Frankly, I still do not know what exactly happened.... somebody mentioned Soros...while somebody else mentioned....Manmohan Singh....I smell a rat....immediately after our market closes DOW Jones futures jumps up...same as yesterday....

Did you mean Something like Volley BALL for Aarav , Foot BALL for apdd....

And What about Rest of Us ..........
