Ok. But, how can I place the order when the market in negative?

Short-Sell is associated with equities and writing is
associated with Options.
In case of Futures ,since merely it is an agreement,
I think it is not wise to use the word short-sell.
On the otherhand Equities are present in electronic
form in your DP.

In case of Futures the words SELL (not shortsell) and
COVER, are used when the market is negative.

Columbus,

Today I traded with minifty future for first time and ended with 10 points in profit, but I closed my position as intraday. As you said, the margin is required around rs.10,000 to take one lot of minifty future. Thanks for your kind replies as I learn some basic things about future trading.

Congrats on your first and also successful trade in Futures.
When you traded today , what did you mention as your trade type ? Also i think in RKG , you have to mention the price at which you weant to buy/sell instead of Market price , right?

In my case 95% of the time I go for LIMIT orders
and rest 5% for MARKET orders ,if the market trend
is Strong and if it is in your favour.

No. Actually, yesterday I keep watching the market movements, I saw a breakout around 5077 (where I predicted myself as support area) and it got executed at the point and exited at 5067 (10 points) (sell & buy)

I think we can place a limit order or market price as well, when I do in options, to put an order, I just press F1 and double enter for market price and it executes immediately. It will work as well in futures too.
