Every script has a limit called Market Wide Position Limit. When many positions are created and it breached a limit like 90%, fresh positions are banned. Of course existing positions are allowed to square off.
Typically it implies accumulation. However entries in the equity is not barred.
The risk mgmt feature of your broker will not allow you to enter the futures contract.
Note if you do enter there is a penalty charged.
Upper circuit is only for stocks not in the FnO list.

If stock is in accumulation in ban period, will stock rise further. To be specific will chambal likely to rise now.

Dear SG,

Is it a good time to buy Tata Motors 1300CA may be @ 45-50 (only for 15-20 bucks). Yesterday took 6300 CE @ 105 expecting Nifty move to the ATH...Took 6100 PE today @ 22...
Of course in hindsight,it seems that yesterday when market closed at 6300 puts would have been cheaper. Today with the gap down and all should have picked calls in the morning when it appeared to have bottomed out. It seems like a contrarian strategy.

It appears Tata motors is giving up some of the gains. I find it difficult to read whether a script will retrace or breakdown.
