Hi All,

Found an interesting link on IPOs, allotment and tips on how to maximise allotment

Sharing the same below:

http://in.rediff.com/getahead/2005/mar/21ipo.htm

Note: Article is from 2005, some data might have changed ex Retail investor limit is Rs 1 lakh now

Hi Scorpio,

Both Should Do Well...

JSW ENERGY - Has Been Carrying On This Business For Many Years, Should Do Very Well On Listing...This Listing Shouldnt Be Confused With ADANIPOWER, IBPOWER & NHPC

GODREJ PROPERTIES - While I Am Not Sure How It Will Do On Listing...But Going Forwrad With 6 Months View Should Give More Than 30%

Santosh,

Since You Are Sufficiently Armed For Intraday Trading....For A Beginner I Would Suggest The Following...

Strategy: 9-100

You Need To Backfill Previous Days Data So That The SMAs Start Showing Up From The 1st Minute Onwards

Setting 3 Or 5 Minute Time Frame
Overlay The Candle Chart With 9 & 100 SMA (Simple Moving Average)

You BUY When The 9-SMA Goes Above The 100 SMA Line
Exit When 9-SMA Goes Below The 100-SMA

Since You Are Doing Equity I Would Not Suggest Shorting For A Beginner Till You Become Comfortable With The Strategy.

Most Importantly Let The Chart & SMA Dictate Entry & EXit...Do Not Let Your Own Views Interfere.....With Trading.

Let Me Know Of Your Progress

Hi Ronnie,

Welcome To Traderji...!!!

What I Follow Is A Miniscule Amount Of All That Exists...While There Are Tons Of Stuff Buried In TJ's Underbelly.....Good Place To Start Would Be A Section Called 'Technical Anaysis'.

Hello sg,
i m ronnie. I m a new member to traderji. I hav a question hope u'll help me. That HOW to study charts for technical analysis.

Ok I have been on this forum for a few days now but still not able to get how to get free real time data for Metastock or AmbiBroker. Also AmbiBroker free version does not allow real time data or am I wrong here? I have access to metastock and paid EOD data for it. I paid for it because thought it would be easier than compiling my own charts but later found out it is not that difficult. Can someone please direct me towards importing real time data into Metastock or AmbiBroker. Many thanks.
Also is it better to use of SMavg or EMavg?. I find on charts that using SMavg and EMavg the crossover happens relatively late and by that time the stock has either risen or fallen substantially. This I m talking in regards to 20,50. However using weighted solves the issue but is it good to use weighted or using it can include bias towards the recent trend?

Regards
Nimish
