Hi Anant,

Having Absolute Value Is Far Better Than Having Another Column For Percentage.... Perhaps It Could Be BecauseI Like Things Simple & Uncluttered ...... Being Democratic....Will Go With The Consensus...:)

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Savant, I would like to answer this :

1. What is market correction ?
- Short term down trend (Where you trading in 2008 ??) There was a BIG market correction then.

2. What is the reason behind it ?
- Profit Booking, Panic.

3. Any signals ? - No prediction possible, But after if starts you will hear only sell in traders mouths.

4. What precautions can we take ? - Keep a SL and follow your trends, Dont think, I'll wait for another day, And before investing, Know your investing time, the Longer Investing time the fewer tensions , But bigger SLs.

Please dont take any thing of the above personally, I am just helping in simple words.

Fahed
Thanks :)

For me investing in markets is completely business, nothing personal !

I was not trading in 2008 but father had stocks but as they were for long term things moved on.

Hi Fahed,

a) What Started In 2008 Was At The Beginning A Normal Correction, But Eventually Turned Into A Bear Market....Subprime...Blah..Blah..Blah...!!!

b) Now The Type Of Weakness That Was Observed From Then Is Not A Frequent Occurence....But Happens Once Every 30-40 Years....But Going Forward This May Happen....More Often Than 3-4 Decades

c) Normal Market Correction Is Observed A Couple Of Times A Year Where We Witness Anywhere From 15-20% Correction On Account Of FIIs Booking Profits.

d) Signals & Even On The Charts One Can See When We Are Going To Have Biggish Correction... All One Needs To Do Is Once In A While Or When The Downtrend Has Just Started To Keep An Eye On 9-100 SMA....

All The Above Has Been Discussed before Several Times...& Must Be Buried Somewhere In The Underbelly Of This Thread...:)

Dear Savant,

I really like the way you explain things in a very simple way, More than this are :

1. The words you use, Its really rare to see an Indian using these kind of words : Subprime, Consensus, Underbelly, etc etc.

2. You treat every word as a Noun, Meaning you capitalize the first letter of every word you type. Its make your posts look attractive.

I dont know your age, But really would like to be good friend of yours, Since each and every post I read about you has added some value to my knowledge. I would like to talk to some time, I have your phone number with me, Let me know at what time you will usually be free to be contacted if I need any clarifications regarding any trades I have done.

Best Regards,
Fahed

Hi Savant,

I too agree with you. Keep things simple so that it is easy to absorb for even new comers. In any case the percentage profit/loss are always mentioned in the updates and whenever Targets are reached, Sell triggered or Stop Loss breached. However, as you said, public demand is final and will go by that.

Hi Anant,

Can I invest in IRB Infra at current levels next week? I already have GMR Infra and GVK Power in my portfolio. ( Shouuld I exit these stocks ?)

If there is any other infra stock, please suggest.
Hi Partha,

IRB has already given BUY trigger and you should have entered on 02-08-2010 when it was trading in the range of 270-290. Now it is already up by about Rs. 15. You may enter now but can not expect same percentage returns. The first target is 344. Keep stop loss of 280. GMRINFRA is still in the upward move. GVKPIL has given BUY triggere today. So, hold both of them.

Hi Banniboy,

RELCOMM is going down. Exit now and enter later if things improve.
BORAX MORARJI is right now range bound between 72-84. Wait for some more time. If it breaks down, exit.
EDELWEISS is going down since about a week. It has a support at about Rs 48 and therefore If it breaks down at that level then you should exit.
