Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Dear Asnavale,

Polaris closed above MA(50). I think last whipsaw made you to omit it. Or did you consider fundamental issues? Fundamentally, suggestions are that reduce positions in Software. I think this time it should click. If it does not sustain above MA(50), it will get beaten down very badly.

Am I giving suggestions to Mastergreen Pilot!!!!!!:D

My flight just taken off, donot know the direction and landing procedure.:p
Hi Veluri,

I am using MA(20) not MA(50). Even with MA(20) POLARIS has given BUY Trigger on 11-10-2010. But the volume is not in favor of the trigger. Thertefore, I omitted it. Even today the volume is against the BUY and the Price of POLARIS has come down by 0.5%. As long as both volume and Price are not in same direction the trigger is ignored. However, POLARIS is in my Wait List.

Sir, what do you mean by Volume not being in favor of the trigger.

It means the change in volume does not indicate the price change is going to sustain.

Hi,
"Volume always goes with the trend"
As a price rises in an uptrend ,in general volume can be expected to expand as well .If a stock is in healthy uptrend ,then volume should rise as price rises. This clearly indicates that the buyers are chasing the stock, confirming the probability that uptrend in the stock will continue. If price is rising ,but volume is declining indicates buyers are not willing to pay to own the stock.
Normally in general, for a specific stock
1. Increasing price accompanied by increasing vol------ confirm upward trend.
2.Increasing price accompanied by decreasing vol------uptrend may not sustain

Hello Savant,

I somehow have never applied for a IPO because my online IPO option is not enabled. So I always buy on the day of listing if I need to buy any stock.

Now I want to buy Coal India IPO and needs few clarification from you.

Requirement: I need 100 Shares of CIL. I am willing to buy at upper band of Rs. 245.

But I am confused about over subcription which I feel this issue will be. There is no minimum lot so I am confused about the lottery and the chances based on it,.

Again my need is 100 shares.

Example: If it subscribed 6 times, how many shares I should apply for? And how much money I need to pay initially. Unfortunately, I currently have only Rs. 25000 free.

In short, please advice how I go about if I want 100 shares of CIL.

if you have 25K, you can only apply for 100 shares in IPO and you will get allotment as per the number of times it is subscribed in retail segment. if it gets subscribed 2 times in retail segment you will get 50 shares.

Also, you can only apply in the multiples of minimum quantity for the IPO which is not known at this time.
