Thank you SG bro.. just now i saw your recommendations... I will be distributing equal amount among these shares in next trading day..
Dear Sai,

Yesterday, I shorted JP Assoc and found lot of buying orders in queue pushing the price up ....up.....UP.

Atleast I could smell something about how SG makes trading decisions.:D

I cannot say anything about other shares, but JP is a strong buy.:thumb:

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Hi Nithin,

Good observations.... especially the timings mentioned.... is true in case of HINDALCO considering movement most of the time governed by the Copper prices in the International Market....therefore morning cue is good or bad because of the overnight performance & afternoons...tracks the movement when LME starts....this is what happened to Non-Ferrous & base metals from overnight cues on Friday....

Rest of observations about Bid & Ask is also very good... let me know as & when you do take the dip with real money....

Also look for sudden price surges on your watchlist and its subsequent behaviour..... & everybody's observation in this regard is again expected in a weeks time....:)

Dear Savant,

Below are few of My observations on Hindalco(Futures) in the last one week,

-Most of the time this stock moves as per graph of Nifty not necessarily all days ( Depends how other stock in this sector is moving)

-High volumes are traded between 9:00- 10:30-11:00 and from 2:00-2:30 until close of market.

-If the stock moves beyond days high /low it Always pauses at previous days high/low before continuing the trend or reversing from that stage.

-The difference between ask and bid increases substantially by 00.10-00.50( i.e for Eg: Ask :235.10 Bid 235.50 ) and trades are rapid before a whipsaw.

-If the buy/sell price is the same as last traded price the possibility of the stock moving in that direction is more.

-The difference between ask and bid decreases substantially by 00.10-00.15( Eg: Ask :235.10 Bid 235.15 ) and if this continues for few hours i.e if the stock is range bound then on several occasions there will be a breakout in the direction of the trend ( This was noticed on Friday as well at around 14.45).

-Though its an old funda and a fooled weapon of a newbie to decide on trades based on looking at the current volume of Buy and sell ( I know its possible to hide the actual volume of the contract), yet I have noticed that when the volume of buy/sell starts increasing drastically as in the above case there will be a breakout.

-If the candestick bar closes above/below the previous bar then it is a higher possibility of trend to continue.

Above are my little observations , you will have to correct me and guide me and if possible emphasize on which points I need to concentrate more.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Best Wishes,
Nithin

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Canteen

Folks,

Here is another part of PA based on Bid & Ask and the Price Range....

It is similar to Darvas Box for those who look at the charts.

Let's assume for Illustration HINDALCO Futures or Equity

If having observed for last 30 minutes or so...the price has moved in 4-5 bucks range say 235-240 mentally one should draw a box around this Price Range.... containing the 4-5 bucks range within the top & bottom of the box, sides of the box comes into play when the Bid & Ask has reduced in spread with higher subsequent Bid & Ask, taking for example the top of the price range of 240 and is threatening to breakout of this 240 which is where your verticals get drawn mentally and you are ready for another trade on the long
side.

Once in the trade you concentrate on the next Price Range and that is where you would perhaps want to exit with profit.

Simlarly, it applies to the Bottom of the Price Range.

Hi Savant

Why this post in your thread ?

I personally want to thank you for this year. You and me had some incredible hard discussions about some stuff. Is there any winner ? In my opinion now.

We are very different traders with completely different styles and ways of trading. So what ? We do what us makes successful.

Even then, you gave me some new thoughts and I want to say, in a personal way, thank you for that. I may gave some thoughts to you and this would have done the job.

It is not about languages. Some times, I though about Saladin and Loewenhertz and after it got to the top between you and me, I thought about the Castle del Monte with Friedrich the second from Germany, even I am Swiss.

As I love history and study it when ever I have time, we have to understand what happens in the past to understand what is going on today.

If east and west in the past would have bundled there knowledge in one direction and not against each others, we may would be a few hundert years further, compare to where the whole human being is now today.

Savant, thanks for all thoughts in 2010 and I wish you in 2011 all, what ever you wish should come true for you.
