It need java that is a free download. Although not very advanced works if you need quick charting and if you broker doesn't provide charts
For End Of Day Charts you can try www.icharts.in. The indicators are very clear. The chart gets updated with today's data after around 6:00 P.M everyday. :clapping:
They charge around 350 Rs (I think) for basic realtime charting :annoyed:

I think the BSE intraday charting is free, I havent checked though.
Savantji, what are the advantages of buying ETF's vs physical gold? Other that being able to trade it? Cost/conveniece wise...
SBIGETS got listed yesterday, it's price is about 3.9% higher than RELGOLD. How come?
I heard Gold ETF's can be redeemed for actual gold if required. Is that true?

Dear Friends,
I am tracking the 50 stocks which Savantji has given in two lists for 28-05-2009. I will be daily posting the current position of the stocks
with the day's closing prices. All prices are from NSE data.
The post will be in the form of a table as given below. In the table the second column (Trigger price) refers to the closing price on the day
the signal was triggered. The third column (Buying price) is the price recommended by Savantji for buying. In some cases the buying price is
different because the recommended price was higher than the day's high. In such cases the day's high is taken as buying price. These are
marked in Remarks column as 'See Note below' and the explanation is given at the bottom of the table as 'Note'. The column P/L is profit or
loss on the day as per the day's closing price. Negative numbers are loss. P/L % is profit or loss as a percentage of buying price. When Stop
Loss or Target price is reached I will add additional columns with some statistics of performance of that stock.
Please do not hesitate to point out any mistakes in the table.

the Gold ETFs are only like a share certificate in Demat Form. By purchasing ETF you are not physically buying gold. The advantages are:
1.No need to keep it safe from thiefs, robbers etc.
2.No worry of purity especially when you sell. When you try to sell Physical gold you are always told that it is not pure etc. Even Hallmark gold has this disadvantage as some people refuse to accept the certficate
3. When you sell physical gold the buyer always quotes a lesser value than the price at which he sells. But ETFs are bought and sold at the same price just like shares.
These are the points I could recollect. Somebody may add to it.
As far as exchanging ETF with physical Gold I have no idea.
