I Am In The Process Of Re-Doing My Stocklist.

Cause There Are Many Stocks That Have Been Looking Good For Sometime, But Not On My List, Therefore, If I May Request You Guys, To Give Suggestions To Help Me Along In This,

I Will Go Through & Include Them Based On My Parameters, If Something Is Not Included, Do Not Ask me Reasons For Not Including...:)

Savant,

a) 5 & 6 MA With BB (Bollinger Band) (Close 9, 2)
b) 20 & 50 SMA
c) 3,13 & 39 SMA

In all these, when the least value crosses the maximum value, it triggers a signal( both upwards and downwards ).

Am much focussed on Taking delivery(for short terms) and F&O.

Which one will be the efficient one.

You are mentioning the buy trigger, Is that the exact value, when the crossover happens?

Or how its calculated?

How does the stoploss is calculated,

For your earlier post i understand that the target would be Difference(Buy trigger & Stop loss) and Buy trigger + Difference. Is that right?

Do we have to look into anyother factors, or immediately can we buy once the crossover happens? (Is that just the crossover which makes a clear signal )

Please clarify... :)

Arvind

Hi Savantji,
A question based on your reply below:
You had mentioned that 1 share of GOLD ETF= 1 gram of Gold. When i did check cmp of kotakgold, goldbees etc the prices seem to be bit different for each of those ETF'S. I thought they would be same based on prevailing market price. Can you please let me know why we see fluctuation in prices among different ETF's?

Kind Regards;
Shankar

Shanky,

There Are Many GOLD ETFs Traded On Both NSE & BSE, You Buy It Just Like How You BUY Shares

Best One Is GOLDBEES,

Then There Are Others KOTAKGOLD, RELGOLD There Are Some More Infact It Was Their In My BUYHOLD List Until I Got SELL Trigger, Anyways Will Post A Full List In Another Post Later.

Prevailing Prices Of 1 Share Of GOLD ETF = 1 Gram Of Gold

Everything Is Exactly The Same As BUYING Shares For Any ETF

Now In My BUYHOLD List There Are Other ETFs Still On BUYHOLD, Viz. NIFTYBEES, JUNIORBEES, BANKBEES, Can't Remember If There Are Any More There In The List Or Not.

Will Check & Let You Know

Shankar,

I Am Aware The Prices Of Various GOLD ETFs Differ, But Do Not Know Why, Have Not Done An In-Depth Study.

One Possibility Could Be Because Of Their Expenses Built Into The Price Of The ETF Participant.

You Could Possibly Find The Answer To It In The Links For NSe That I Had Posted Earlier.

Savant Sir, I understand that the Kotak Gold ETF, in particular, has a mandate to hold cash as well and that can affect the performance relative to other gold ETFs.

The investment objective of the scheme is to generate returns that are in line with the returns on investment in physical gold. The scheme will invest 90-100 per cent of its corpus in physical gold and 0-10 per cent in debt and money market instruments, Jain said.

I got this from value research online dot com:
Goldbees (Benchmark) 99.91% gold as of 30/04/2009
and
Kotak Gold 99.69% as of 31/03/2009.

Savant,

I have attached the Graph of GVKPL, which has SMA and EMA.

EMA gives more weightage to the recent value, but SMA shows more buy - sell signals than the EMA.

But then, signals shown by SMA does not last long, whereas the signal created by EMA is stronger,

Whats your view on this? Am i Rubbish?

Arvind
