look at the first entry you have marked on both the charts.

On EMA, you had a buy and then a sell, whereas, on SMA you have just a sell.

If, you take that entry and check your profits on the sell, you would come to know that the entry wasnt very good.

I have tracked both SMA and EMA for a month. The winning ratio of SMA is far greater than EMA.

That is not to say that SMA is better than EMA. It just depends market to market. I use a 20 period EMA on forex, which serves me good, but the same doesnt fit here.

Savant,

I have attached the Graph of GVKPL, which has SMA and EMA.

EMA gives more weightage to the recent value, but SMA shows more buy - sell signals than the EMA.

But then, signals shown by SMA does not last long, whereas the signal created by EMA is stronger,

Whats your view on this? Am i Rubbish?

Regards,
Arvind

Shankar,

I Am Aware The Prices Of Various GOLD ETFs Differ, But Do Not Know Why, Have Not Done An In-Depth Study.

One Possibility Could Be Because Of Their Expenses Built Into The Price Of The ETF Participant.

You Could Possibly Find The Answer To It In The Links For NSe That I Had Posted Earlier.

Savant Sir, one more point I forgot to mention is that the Gold ETFs are not that heavily traded and that there can be quite wide bid-ask spreads relative to a highly liquid stock. This may also account for divergence in the prices of different gold ETFs.

To my mind, the GOLDBEES from Benchmark is the most highly traded.

Re: suzlon 500 shares holding

savant sir,

as you are aware by now that suzlon has hit a high of 107.65 & CMP is 105.70.......i would like to remind you that i am holding 500 shares of suzlon...and you had advised me earlier to hold stock till 108...i had bought suzlon 500 shares @ 88.90...

i was just curious how would this stock perform if i was to retain it for one year...would it double up or its wise to get rid of it now.

thanx a ton.
rishi.
