Arvind
look at the first entry you have marked on both the charts.
On EMA, you had a buy and then a sell, whereas, on SMA you have just a sell.
If, you take that entry and check your profits on the sell, you would come to know that the entry wasnt very good.
I have tracked both SMA and EMA for a month. The winning ratio of SMA is far greater than EMA.
That is not to say that SMA is better than EMA. It just depends market to market. I use a 20 period EMA on forex, which serves me good, but the same doesnt fit here.
Savant,
I have attached the Graph of GVKPL, which has SMA and EMA.
EMA gives more weightage to the recent value, but SMA shows more buy - sell signals than the EMA.
But then, signals shown by SMA does not last long, whereas the signal created by EMA is stronger,
Whats your view on this? Am i Rubbish?

Arvind
