HOW TO USE THE UPDATER

To use the updater you have to do a bit of manual job in Ami Broker. First, download the 'updater.afl' file from my previous post and save it in 'AmiBroker\Formulas\Custom' directory.

Now you need to create a watchlist to contain all the stocks which have given a trigger on a particular day. To easily identify the date of buying the stocks in the watchlist I rename the default watchlist name such that the buying date is in the name itself. Thus, for example, for the stocks bought on 28-5-2009 I name the watchlist as 'Buy20090528'. For June 1, 2009 I name the watchlist as 'Buy20090601' and so on. You can use your own convention of naming so that you have distinct watchlist for each buying day. This is necessary for the AFL to work properly.

For the time being, "Its time to move on. Aur Bolo."

Post your comments, queries, suggestions, crticisms etc. without hesitation.

Regards

-Anant

Savant Sir,
Today I had worked out a price change of Rs. 80 for BEML by tomorrow. I had expected to go down, but instead it went up by 50.

Ofcourse I realize now why I made that mistake(followed wrong indicator at the wrong time, and ignored an warning signal) :D

MM,

I Am Glad You Are Sorry,

All Of You Are Waking Up A Bit Late & This Is Why Forums Are Strewn With Stories Of How People Have Burned Their Fingers & Lost Their Pants Et Al.

Nobody Seems To Have Patience To Wait....& Make A Good Entry....

Mayur,

2 Systems Oultined Below Is Actually One But Different Settings Of SMA For F&O, Actual System-II Is 20 & 50 Crossover.

You Could Try The Combination Of 3 & 5 Or 3 & 7 Crossover With BB (9,2) For Commodities, Instead Of Live Trading, Just Observe Before For A Few Days, Before Going Live.

Thank You

Hi Rangarajan,

Your Portfolio Is Fine For Next 3 Months Atleast, From Your New Picks DCB Is Good For Trading Too.

GAIL Was A Good Selection For F&O, It Has Been Sitting Quiet For Quite Sometime.....Once It Starts Moving It Will Take Out 400 Quite Easily In My Opinion....It Is Just Matter Of Time.
