Hi Savant! That was a joke!
My attempts at humour to lighten the mood in the forum and generally have some fun while learning. No offense meant!

You must have repeated your method at-least 5 times if one goes through the previous posts and have been most forthcoming on your strategies. Completely appreciate your efforts and please keep up the good work.

Thanks,

Guys,

Hi Maverick,

Please post all queries in main thread. However, for this query please see the main thread for explanation.

Hi Uma/Savant,

I have doubt regarding the SL triggered for RELCAPITAL. If I remember correctly, you (Savant) have given a target of 1015 for RELCAPITAL. It has exceeded the target 4th June and I have sold that day itself @ 1037.

So my query is, if a stock that you have recommended has hit the target are we suppose to keep holding the stock for extended target?

1. In this case, RELCAPITAL, it has achieved its target and then it has hit the SL. It would be helpful, if you clarify, once a stock hits the target and goes beyond that what shall we do in those cases?

2. Are we going to BUY the stock again, after it hits the target and goes well below the target price?

I hope you are not getting irritated by this stupid question.... I also do not if this has been answered in any of the post previous post...

Waiting for your reply :)

Hi maverick,

The target you have referred is the first target given by Savantji on 27th May. Thereafter RELCAPITAL hit that target. If you go through the chapter II carefully and thoroughly, you will find that it was revised by Savantji on 4-6-09 and fresh SL was also given. Based on the second target and SL today's update has shown the result. Savantji has told several times that you should follow only one SL either the first or the second. You sold on first SL, there is no problem.

Hi Scorpio,

Savantji has given everything in his posts. If you have missed it following post summerises. So I coded it im Ami. He has been giving answers to every question. You have to Just ask. Have a look at the chart. Ther eis still work to be done

Hi Ken,

a) Why Am I Not Surprised, It Doesn't Match 5/6 Is Correct Cause, It Is Based On 20/50

b) 20/50 Crossover Is Also Explained Here In The Thread, But Buried Deep I Guess, You Will Need To Get Your Hands Dirty....:)

c) 6th April List Being The First & Thereafter A Few More Sporadic Lists, Soon After Were The Initial BUY Triggers Based On 20/50 & Confirmation.

d) Thereafter, Particularly The Last 3 Lists Which Is Being Currently Updated With Anant's AFL & Uma's Update On Daily Basis, Is Subsequent Triggers For Any Of The Following Reasons:

i) Buying On Trend Resumption
ii) Buying On Expansion Breakout
iii) Buying On A Two Month High
iv) Buying On Retracement For A Strong Uptrending Stock

Stop Loss Is Very Simple & Should Be Between 1%-2% Of Position Size, Therefore, Number Of Shares For Each Scrip Is Given, Assuming 20K Available For That Scrip.

Hmmmm.....Did I Miss Anything...Let Me Know If I Did.

Hi Savantji

I'm new to F&O trading. I know a little bit about these two but never actually put a trady myself to see what's happening. Though I'm a bit clear from an options perspective, I'm perplexed with Futures. Could you please answer my following questions.

As per your earlier post, If I want to buy 1 lot (4500) of JPASSOCIAT

1. What is the margin requirement?
2. How is the margin calculated daily?
3. Suppose I buy 1 lot at 210 and sell it at 240, what is the actual profit?

Hi Ravi,

There Is Some Problem With NSE Site Opening Details For Me Calculate Margin For JPASSOCIAT.

Anyways When It Opens I Will Calculate & Let You Know

a) Toatal Margin = Initial Margin + Exposure Margin
b) Total Margin = X%
c) Total Margin = {[4500 (Lot Size) x 210 (Buying Price)]} x X%
d) If You Make A Profit Of 30 Bucks As Indicated By You, Buying @ 210 & Selling @ 240
e) 240-210=30 x 4500 (Lot Size) = 1,35,000=00 (Profit)

For Ease Of Illustrating I Have Omitted Other Costs From The Calculation, viz. Brokerage, Service Tax On Brokerage, STT On Sell & Stamp Duty & Other Charges.

Net Profit Is Added To Your F&O Ledger The Same Evening, There Is No Settlement Like There Is For Buying Equity.

Whether Your Trade Results In Profit Or Loss You It Is Reflected In Your Client Summary.

If You BUY @ 210 & Price Closes @ 240 Profit In This Case Also Called Mark To Market (MTM) Is Also Reflected In The Ledger & Client Summary Showing Details Of Your Existing Position, Similarly If It Closes Below Your Buying Price & You Are Still Holding It For Next Day Your Ledger Must Support MTM Loss Including Total Margin Required For Holding It For The Following Day.

IMPORTANT: Remember Your Ledger Must Have Enough Funds For Supporting Overnight Position & Any MTM Losses For The Day.
