That is true .... as someone who I have been folllowing always says ---
1. If you do not trade, Max you lose is an opportunity.
2. Opportunities are a dime a dozen in the Stock Markets. If u let one go, u get another. Simple.
3. If u trade just for the sake of trading, you will lose your shirt pretty soon

Hi Jace,

Should Open About 8 Bucks Up From Todays Close On Monday & Then One Can Trail It With 4 Bucks For Exit, & On Other Hand Todays LOW To Be S/L & After 10.30 AM TSL.

Different Strategies For Various Risk Appetite. While I Think The First Timers Will Just Exit At Opening, No Harm With That Either...:)

Just out of curiosity what would be applicable SL?

Hello Folks,

Hope everyone had a great trading week. Mine personally wasn't so great (besides Satyam everything else is in red) :) Paper loss only but still a loss... :)

I just had this idea and wanted to use this place as sounding board:

I was wondering about what everyone thinks about posting their latest portfolio and trades of the month, so that one can figure out how the equity grew or shrunk by looking at individual portfolios.

This would be a huge learning aid for newcomers, and perhaps even the veterans can pick up a point or two. The key being to learn from successes of others, and our own mistakes. Also it would enable us to see how the portfolio changes over months (this can be useful when we compare these changes with charts of respective timeframes). Specially great for newbie learning :)

This can be done once a month (perhaps beginning of the month for the previous month).

I suggest we use yahoo finanance transaction portfolio but perhaps there is a better free tool.

So how does eveyone feel about it?

On a side note, I am leaving for Atlanta for a week, so perhaps you won't find me bothering you all for a while ;)

Cheers!

Hi Doc J,

I Am Ok With Whatever Everybody Decides, As`Long As Something Or Anything That Can Be Learned.

There Is Used To Be A Thread Earlier, Where Friends Here Were Posting Portfolios, Not Much Discussion On Mistakes Though.

Perhaps, Thread Maybe Revived. Here Is The Link For The Same:
