A suggestion to all those who feel distracted by others posts.

go to your control panel

=> edit ignore list.

enter the name of the member's name.

for eg. in some threads I don't want to see others posts other than the thread starter. then, I will add all the new posters in that thread to my ignore list.

cheers.

Hi,

Bunny,

Nice strategy, my vsa collection s/w says,

Bar on Unitech EOD 20082009

No Demand
Brief Description: Any up bar which closes in the middle OR Low, especially if the Volume has fallen off, is a potential sign of weakness. Things to Look Out for: if the market is still strong, you will normally see signs of strength in the next few bars, which will most probably show itself as a: * Down bar with a narrow spread, closing in the middle OR High. * Down bar on Low Volume.

Bar on GSPL EOD 19082009

A pseudo Upthrust. This normally appears after an Up Bar with above average volume. This looks like an upthrust bar closing down near the Low. But the Volume is normally Lower than average. this is a sign of weakness. If the Volume is High then weakness increases. Smart Money is trying to trap the retailers into bad position.

Bar on GSPL EOD 20082009

A downbar after a pseudo Upthrust Confirms weakness. If the volume is above average the weakness is increased.

I am "ZERO" in VSA/VPA, cann't learn everything ! want to check with you whatever I have is correct or not.

Hi CNB,
Nice to know that you have a software to do VSA.

For GSPL and ROLTA, I have interpreted the chart as follows:
They have broken above their resistance with high volume and wide spreads. Such rapid markup is used to encourage the locked-in traders not to sell because any selling would go against the bullish interests of the smart money. Once the resistance is crossed, the smart money again checks for supply by marking down the prices. If the selling increases, it would be seen as increased volumes on down bar. Reducing prices and reducing volumes are signs of reduction in selling pressure, but it is not a buy signal in itself.

You can visually backtest on charts.

For UNITECH,
You can see that the selling pressure is reducing (Tuesday & Wednesday) but today the price has moved up. A cause of concern is the volume today was quite low. Infact, this adds to the authenticity that most of the floating stock has been removed. If the price rised by this extent on such low volume, it definitely means that demand is much greater than supply.

Even on historical charts, I have seen such "low volume upbars in the setup if reduced selling pressure" to be good for long positions.

For ADLABSFILM,
Low volume upmove in the background of selling is again used as a reason.

Only markets can tell whats correct.

For the few guys who asked about BALAJITELE a couple of days back!

It made good sense to stay out of the it on 18th(Monday) when it was traded at almost 11% intraday high gain. I am sure many of you were tempted to rush in to buy it because it had given a breakout on that day!

Now you can see something more too!
Hi Bunny,

Actually I was holding it from the levels of 47 so thats why I was curious. Normally, when a share runs like that it holds the same pattern for 2-3 day. However, this time yours analysis proved bingo. I did took some partial profits approx 60%. Looking at its current consolidation (seems so?) May be it can be further added. May be...
Thanks for remembering the topic.

Thanks Bud.

Looking at the chart, it seems the price is more or less in the same range. slight retracement but volume is also decreasing. I see some consolidation or an opportunity to add some more in slightly lower prices. Am i thinking right? Correct me in your spare time.

Regards,
You are correct in your conclusion that its a good time to add more shares to your basket, but I don't think its consolidation, there is a reduction of supply. Most likely, operators are sure to see this window of opportunity and exploit it to start a new rally, perhaps tomorrow itself or at most on Monday.

But as always, use strict SL to be on the safer side. You many never know when the supply may come from where and the bullish operator may just withdraw from marking up the prices higher - which inturn may lead to a fall(or freefall) in the price.

Remember that operators don't always have a forevision for the stock. As soon as an opportunity is presented, it is snatched.

Oh, Ok.
Just one more question to bother you. Should the SL be in the range of the price from where it had taken that giant intraday leap? I mean around 56?

Thanking you.
