Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On

My concern is the long wick at the top. Also, the volume is a very excessive, almost 10 times the volume before 4 sessions. This indicates that there is also a large supply depot in the background. You can observe on other historical data too that long upper shadows with high volumes are mostly not good for long positions.

One more addition. A bullish operator often gaps up the opening price by a good measure, here it does not seems so.
Thanks Bunny, got it. Even me 2 read both these points in Karthik's VSA thread today morning only but still failed to apply in this chart :(. Probably need to read it many more times and then try applying on charts. Looks like will take much more time

There is a saying in VSA, "True weakness is seen on up days; and true strength is seen on down days". I know this is contrary to what most TA books teach.

I saw your posting at Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On -II

Just to keep that thread clean, I am posting my query here in this thread.

'JAI BABA'

For Short Term Investors (For 24/08/2009)

7) BUY JINDALSAW (CMP 531.80) @ 538.65
Quantity 2 Shares
Stop Loss 482.20
First Target 677.85
.....To Be Continued
Savantji,

It is noted that SL is same % away from Buy price as that of the Target price for most of the scrips mentioned. Hpwever for JINDALSAW SL is 10.5% away from Buy price where as Target price is about 25.8% away. Why is it so? Similarly I found slight deviations in case of AIAENG & TATAELXSI. Anything I am missing here?

Bunny,

So,according to u ,it is only distribution. If so,what signals to look for buying as the stock has closed above previous PHs of8th& 13th & pierced 16/7 & also formed PL on 18/8. If one wants to short,i think it should be below 842 as the PH would be formed , with s/l as per individual risk aptitude.

Also,i infer from u that PHs or PLs ,r not to be seen in isolation w/o vol.Fine.In this case,is there a chance of losing opportunity to participate in the tend.

Hi Chachi,

Yes, Deviation Is Part Of Re-Think....Based On Something That I May Have Noticed In Certain Stocks.....& There Are Perhaps A Few More Than The Ones Mentioned By You But Not By A Wide Margin, Am I Glad, You Are Going Through The Triggers With Tooth & Comb....:)

Just As Stock Market Pulls Surprises On Unsuspecting Small Investors, We Also Must Possess The Ability To Do The Same From Time To Time
