Hi Izzner,

I Am Glad You Held On To It......

OK The Strategy Should Be Like....

a) If We Have A Gap-Up & Yesbank Too Gives A Nice Big Gapup Then SELL Immediately To Buy It Back On Brief Down Thrust.

b) Incase It Is A Ok Opening & Yesbank Hasn't Moved Up That Much...Then Trail It With Fridays LOW Or Mondays LOW....& Again Same Strategy If It Triggers & Market Is Up Substantially BUY It Back...

c) Maintain Wednesday Or Thursday LOW & Ride It...All The Way Till Wednesday...& Then If It Is Showing Good Momentum & You Want To Rollover...That You Know Already How To Do It...:)

Congratulations You Really Deserve It Considering You Had Never Dabbled In F&O A Few Months Back !!!!

Looks Like Now You Are Hooked.....:)

Does high volume with a high price spread suggest a buy?
High volumes on high spreads are often used to bypass strong resistances in the historical data. You can enter long depending upon how early you are above to spot it. The later you spot it, more riskier it becomes. Usually the rally will pause once the price has been pushed just above the resistance. After that, it may either form a trading range or resume its upmove immediately. If the operator sees a window of opportunity, such as reducing selling pressure, he may exploit the opportunity to start a new rally.

If Not, what does it suggest especially when it is in a trading range for the past few sessions?
Technically, it means a breakout. Rest of the stuff is same as explained above.

To illustrate, see the below chart of ROLTA:

Just a tip: Greater the volume at the historical resistance, more intense and rapid the gapping up, markup and wider spread will be.

Hello Bunny,

I understand your point of the breakout.... But, does the break out from a resistance indicate a BUY?

If so, How/When do we know that the resistance will be broken so that we can enter into the market?

Also i would like to have some kind of trading software where i can try out things.... As of now i have nothing to work on? What do u use?

Thanks

Sirjee,

Wishing you & everyone Happy Ganesh festival.

Please i would like you to look at my attached portfolio. Not only my previous buys, even the fresh investmts i make like TVS Motor, Bartronics, Suzlon, Noida Toll, BVCl all of them in negative. As soon as i buy the stock, it jst keeps going down.:sos::(

Considering your advice, does it mean that market is going to be volatile as seen in last few trading sessions. Shd I sell MRPL, GVKPOW, ONGC. I am unable to understand when & what i should sell.

A Happy Ganesh Chaturthi To All of you !!

For people who are wanting to enter, another advice would be in case of any morning madness, do not jump into the buying frenzy - do not let your buying price be 8-10% above what Savant's triggers suggest. Have a list of potential stocks to enter ready and enter those who have not moved much already, that would give you a better margin of safety.

Regards,
Enygma.
