Re: GSPL and ROLTA

Hi Rangarajan,

Please Don't Be Confused By The Term SAR, It Is Mostly Used By Futures Traders Who Always Want To Remain On A Particular Scrip Either Long Or Short.

Therefore, If Long Position Triggered A S/L Trader Would Immediately Go Short, That Is What It Is Termed As SAR (Stop & Reverse)

It Is Nothing But A Kind Of S/L Or Trailing S/L, Whatever You Choose To Call It....Will Also Be Correct & Moreover It Is Not Necessary To Take An Opposite Trade

Savant Sir,

Dow has been continiously trading positive for last 6 to 7 trading sessions...its discounting all positive as well as negative news...

Do you think any correction is in sight...:D

It is said that when every one thinks that a correction will happen it never happens(same was the case recently where everyone thought we'll be going down to 4200 level and so we bounced back from 4350)... Now every one thinks we'll be going to 4900 levels...

so what say..!!

Chaitanya,

Leave it as default - which is day. That means your order will remain in the system till end of the day. So, if you put a limit order today, it will remain in the system till end of trading, if your limit price is not reached.

IOC means immediate or cancel - the order will be immediately executed or cancelled if it cannot be executed. Not sure how this is different from a market order, except that perhaps you can specify a limit in this as well and if the option is trading below that limit (in case of a buy), then your order will be immediately executed.

Use the "Good Till Day" option (no pun intended :) )for now ...

Let me see whether I give you some links to understand options better.

Enygma.

Hi Izzner,

It Is Usually The Case, Market Rarely Obliges The Consensus.

There Is Lot More Happening Than Just This...U.S. Isn't Very Happy That China Is Diverting Cash To Stock Pile Commodities...

There Is A Theory Behind It........

Dear Savant:

Could you pls elaborate? Are you alluding to off-loading U.S. dollars in favor of hard assets & hence U.S.'s unhappiness?

Re: GSPL and ROLTA

Hi Ranga,

My post is in continuation of my of my previous post #6581 which I see you have read. The commentary is copied from Mr Karthiks AFL which I think is quite accurate an informative. Although short tem medium term and long term trend indicate up trend Rolta was down for two day. Yes last hour trend indicates reversal and probaby will resume uoptren tomorrow. If you have intraday data source you will get it during trading hours and after the market too.

Ken
