Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On

Thanks Savant! Yes, these things are way more complex & convoluted for mortals like me to get a hang of it. The reason I got curious is that I thought that First, off-loading U.S. dollars is a hedging strategy by the Chinese (against the impending USD weakness) & a cause for U.S. unhappiness along with fueling rumblings of another reserve currency or currencies.

Second, as U.S. economy picks up, the Chinese could have pricing power on the same commodities it is hoarding now & U.S. will need later to the detriment of the U.S.. Afterall, there are a limited number of mines & rigs out there. But then, is it possible to corner on a global level such commodities:confused: Your msg got me going but like you rightly said, there is no easy & short explanation for it.

Kumar

Hi Kumar,

There Is No Easy & Short Explanation For It...Just That Think 'Conspiracy Theory'

Thank you sir for your valuable suggestion

Hi Prasenjitsh,

Today TISCO Declared Results In The Afternoon & Result Wasn't Good...& Being A Heavy Weight It Didn't Allow The Market To Move Up.

It May Remain Soft For A Few Days....Therefore My Suggestion Is HOLD For Sometime....If You Want To Keep It For Longer Term, Even Better, Considering It Is A Totally Integrated Steel Company...From Now On Results Can Only Improve....

Hi Ranga

Karthiks Blog has all the details. You can dowload his AFLS and a PDF file on VSA.
www.vpanalysis.blogspot.com

His thread in Traderji also explains all your doubts. His last comment on TF is given below. If you have any doubt ask him on his thread he will clarify.

"In case of VSA it ia better to stick to one TF. Unlike indicators we are looking at actions of different bars... Hence looking at different TF at the same time will only confuse you.. "

Chaitanya,

Leave it as default - which is day. That means your order will remain in the system till end of the day. So, if you put a limit order today, it will remain in the system till end of trading, if your limit price is not reached.

IOC means immediate or cancel - the order will be immediately executed or cancelled if it cannot be executed. Not sure how this is different from a market order, except that perhaps you can specify a limit in this as well and if the option is trading below that limit (in case of a buy), then your order will be immediately executed.

Use the "Good Till Day" option (no pun intended :) )for now ...

Let me see whether I give you some links to understand options better.

Regards,
Enygma.

Thanks Enygma.... i bought the shares with the market order :)
